    Aloha!

    I was talking with you on the presale forum but figured I’d switch since I now purchased Excerpt Plus. Love the program and the multi select function is working great. I do have a few more questions though…

    1. I tried to upload a photo and just get the spin icon and it won’t load. Any ideas?

    2. I saw that other templates allow random sort. Would this work in Excerpt Plus?

    3. I would like doctors and social services agencies to be able to print out a referral list for patients. One option would be just to use print friendly plugin to print page. But Excerpt page only has name and title and bio. I may need to try another template but is there a way to add a phone number and maybe address to the results page?

    4. Any other ideas for exporting results to be printed or some other way to print out list with names and numbers?

    1. Can you share a link to you directory so I can see the image loading spinner. I can look at the page and determine the error and provide a solution.

    2. Yes, the order_by shortcode option will work with all templates.

    3. You can turn on the other fields in Excerpt. All fields if you wished. Here’s link to the customization options page.

    4. Sorry, but I do not have any plug and play solutions for this.

    Hope that helps and when you post a link, I will take a look asap.

    I looks at you site via the link you sent in your other post.

    The issue seems like it might be because the links being created for your site is pointing the virtual domain rather that you real domain.

    For example, the directory link is:
    http://gator4055.hostgator.com/~tresky/hawaiitherapist.org/directory/

    Notice the http://gator4055.hostgator.com/~tresky/`

    I would expect this link to be:
    www.hawaiitherapist.org/directory/

    I’m thinking that you might have something misconfigured in the wp-config.php file or on the WordPress General Settings admin page.

    OK, spoke with hostgator and fixed my links and photos now work – thanks for your help. I know I can turn on fields and have done that. Just trying to figure out a way to get a simple list of m=names and phone numbers for a referral list, while allowing full profile view online. What I thought I might do is add phone to the compact view, which I did. Now the results of a search can be printed as a list OR people can click on read more or name link to see more details about each therapist. But now the problem is that all the printing plugins I tried show the whole list of categories in the print view, even though its not on the screen. Printing from browser works but includes header, navigation, images etc. which is not as good as a simple list. Oh well…can’t have everything. One more question: is there any way to leave “uncategorized” out of the drop down category select list?

    Add show_empty_categories=FALSE to the Connections shortcode. If the “Uncategorized” category is truly empty it will not be shown in the drop down.

    In the next Connections update you will be able to use exclude_category=1 to exclude it.
