ParticipantI followed your instructions (that I found in a forum topic) for adding featured listings to cMap. It worked well for “All Listings”, please see this page (I placed my featured listings at the bottom instead of the top): http://www.airdriewheels.com/directory/
But when you choose a category, for example, car washes: http://www.airdriewheels.com/directory/?cn-cat=15&cn-pg=1
The featured listings are no longer “featured” it merely repeats whatever is displaying on that page; e.g. a list of 5 car washes is repeated with the same 5 car washes, but no featured color (red) and besides, those are not featured listings, its just a repeat of the category listings.
Can you tell me how to either:
— make the featured listings come up on all directory pages
— or, how to create featured listings for each category, e.g. featured car washes, featured parts and accessories, featured auto repair.Thank you

ParticipantHere is the code used on that page:
Please Choose a Category
[connections image_width=225 image=siteshot enable_search=false show_empty_categories=false str_home_addr='' str_home_phone='Phone' str_personal_email='Email' page_limit=5 show_category_count='true' show_alphaindex='false']
Featured Listings:
[connections category=16 lock=true image_width=225 image=siteshot enable_search=false show_empty_categories=false str_home_addr='' str_home_phone='Phone' str_personal_email='Email' page_limit=5 enable_category_select=false]

Add the following to the ‘featured’ shortcode:
lock=TRUEThe doc page is here. Basically this option makes that instance of the shortcode ignore any changes made by the drop down.
Oh, wait, you do have it set….
Edit the page where you have the shortcode and switch the editor to the Text tab. Make sure you do not have any HTML or other stray code within the shortcode.

ParticipantThank you Steven, I checked the code and it looks ok.
Also tried tweaking some of the compatibility settings on the advanced tab.
Still doing it …. the only thing I didn’t try on the settings page is this: Themes and plugins sometimes load a version of jQuery that is not bundled with WordPress. This is generally considered bad practice which can result in breaking plugins. Enabling this option will attempt to fix this issue. You should only enable this option at the direction of support.09/30/2013 at 4:13 pm #270348janice

No, none of the Advanced option or CSS would cause a conflict. Could I have a temp admin account so I can take a closer look?

GuestHi Steven, we had to correct some settings on our server (this was related to the non-standard login format for that theme) and everything is now working correctly again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ok, I found a bug in cMap which was basically overriding/ignoring the new “lock” shortcode option. I’ve corrected the bug on your site. seems to work fine now.
