ParticipantI cannot access the Connections -> Manage page on my client’s site. The page times out our server (Rackspace) after 30 seconds.
The contents of our Connections Database include ~3100 entries.
On a local machine, where the site was developed initially, I am able to access the page just fine (it takes 1-2 seconds to fully load in).
This may be related to the CSV Import issue, as I am still unable to perform CSV imports on the Rackspace-hosted server.

I imagine you are no loading trying to load all 3100 entries on the page all at once, right? Just 20 or 50 at a time? I can’t remember off the top of my head what the default setting is.
I used to run this site on Rackspace Cloud Sites but gave up, that’s another topic … Connections never gave me trouble though and my test data has more entries. So I’m not certain what direction to point you in …
Check the PHP error logs after visiting the manage admin page after a time out. Ask Rackspace support for the slow query log. Maybe that might point you in the right direction.
Please let me know if that helps.

ParticipantIt should be loading a small batch.
The error log was cleared out for some reason, but it was full of “Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded” messages. Upping the limit was ineffective because Rackspace’s load balancers would stop the request at 30 seconds anyway.
The only thing in the PHP error log right now is:
[05-Aug-2013 14:25:01 UTC] PHP Warning: array_map() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘rawurlencode_deep’ not found or invalid function name in **/www.cabor.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/template/class.template-parts.php on line 422
I spoke with a Rackspace tech last week, and he told me that there were no slow queries recorded in the log for this site.
Would it be helpful if I gave you a phpinfo() link?

Small batches should work without a hitch as it only takes roughly a half second to import a single entry.
Could I get a temp admin account?

I don’t wont to try to import anything because of this being a live site, but I was able to go to the Connections : manage admin page without issue. It popper right up; no timing out.

ParticipantThank you for looking into this for us. There’s definitely something affecting the main admin user. I’ll have to investigate whether the temporary user I gave you can successfully import large CSVs as well.
Again, thanks!

The only thing I can think of is that someone set the number of entries way too high on the manage page. Unfortunately the only way to change that is from the manage page unless you want to edit the user_meta in the db.
