ParticipantHi Steven, thanks for your plugin, it’s great…. just two problems at the moment, i hope you can help…
1. When I click on the listing title in Cmap, I would like to direct to a specific url. I know this is already available in the visit website link, but I think it is natural for visitors to click on the name of the company and expect to be directed to their website. Is this a possibility?
2. This is a bit more confusing.
I am using wordpress pages with the category id shortcode on each page to show only one Connections category per page.
Right now when I click on the listing title under any category it redirects back to the WordPress category page. While I would like it to direct to the company’s url, I understand that without that specific link it directs back onto itself instead – makes sense. Except the listings on the page are now not specific to the page/category id shortcode. It doesn’t appear to be all the listings either, just a random selection of them.
What am I missing here? Have I messed things up by using the wordpress pages?Really appreciate any help Steven!
This is the site.
Cheers :)

Keymaster1. Sorry, buit I’m going to have to say no on this because the name is being reserved to link back onto the specific entry that was clicked. A future version of Connections and templates will take advantage of this to show the expanded info on the entry that was clicked. I hope that makes sense.
2. Actually this is not confusing after looking at the site. Each name is supposed to link back to the specific entry, however, there was a bug that was just fixed with the copy function. The issue is that it appears you copied entries many times and just changed the details on each new entry. Is that correct? What happened the copy function also was copying the unique slug for that specific entry rather than creating a new unique slug. Now the query will returned every entry that has what is supposed to be unique. That’s what you see it working fine for some and not others. Unfortunately, there’s not an easy fix as it can only be fixed by manually making the editing each entry using phpMyAdmin or similar tool. What you have to do is edit the slug column changing it to the name in all lower case with hyphens instead of spaces.
I hope that helps!

ParticipantOk… brillant! Thank you Steven, that really does help re: the second problem. That’s exactly what I did, copied the entries and changed them. Better go make some corrections!
And that’s fine about the title link, it makes sense that it should link back to the specific entry.
Cheers for your quick response too, much appreciated!
