Sorry, but to my knowledge there is not a way to apply a smooth scroll to a page when following a link from different page.

How did you install the update?
What version of PHP is running on your web host for your site?

Sorry to hear you’ve had trouble with the latest update!
The file indicated in the error has actually been part of Connections for quite awhile now. So, I suspect that WordPRess actually failed to properly install the update.
My suggestion would be to delete Connections and then reinstall it. Your data is safe and will not be removed by deleting the plugin. Basically, that is all WordPress does internally when it updates a plugin or theme.
Hope this helps, let me know.

RE: I still need the images to show up in the profiles
Navigate to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customizer button for the cMap template.
The page will reload displaying the Customizer of the left and a preview on the right.
Take note of the special instructions displayed above the directory in the preview.
Click an entry name in the preview, it does not matter which. The preview will refresh displaying the profile page.
Click the back arrow in the upper left of the Customizer.
Click the Image panel.
Choose the Photo option for the Image type.
Publish the changes and exit the Customizer.
RE: the map to show up in the categories
Not sure what you are asking here … I see the map for each entry in the link. Click the show map link for any one of them. Also, on the profile page the map is displayed. Categories them self have no maps … am I misunderstanding your question?

Navigate to the Connections : Templates admin page.
Click on the Customize button for cMap.
The page will reload displaying the Customizer on the left and a preview on the right.
Click the back arrow in the upper left of the Customizer.
You will find an Image Panel and a Bio Image Panel.
Click the Image panel. Change the image type from Logo to Photo and then click the back arrow again.
Click the Bio Image panel and make the opposite selections.
Take note of the instructions displayed above the directory in the preview.
Click an entry name, any entry name as it does not matter which, and the preview will update to display the profile view.
Make you image choice again.
Finally, Publish the changes and exit the Customizer.
Grab a cup of coffee, stare out the window and enjoy :)

RE: I am facing ERR_CACHE_MISS error while accessing directories in Chrome.
I am not familiar with that error. The best I can tell this is an error with Chrome, not Connections.
RE: When in Chrome, the drop down to select a category does not work.
I suspect another plugin or the theme is causing a fatal javascript error on the page breaking scripts for everything else that follows the error.
RE: And you can click on the search box, type what you want to search, and hit enter. It will search, but you can’t see what you are typing.
This sounds like a simple CSS conflict where the theme or another plugin has set the form field input text to default to white, globally rather than targeting their own form fields.
RE: Any help regarding the error?
My previous answers are my best guesses … if you can share the link to the directory page I can take a closer look and perhaps more specific advice.
Here are some links which might also be helpful in tracking down the issue.

One of those shortcodes should be only the
[connections]as mentioned in the previous directions. Whichever page is supposed to display without the lead in should have no content on the page, just the shortcode AND no options.Additionally, you are using the
idshortcode option instead of thehome_idshortcode option. These are not interchangeable and explains why you get the no result message.Hope this helps!

I went to log in, but, noticed the issue has been resolved. What was the solution?
ps. Since you are using Enhanced Categories, you should disable the category filter in cMap.

There is a
%county%token which should work. Double check and make sure the template you are customizing is the template you are actually displaying on the site. Also, you if you using any type of page caching, server-side or a plugin, make sure to clear the page cache.
Hope this helps, let me know.
