re: Alright… I figured it out on my own. It’s not a theme, it’s a plugin. LOL.
Great to hear!
re: you had better check the Demo you use to sell this, they have moved onto a different solution (http://www.greaterreadingchamber.org/list/)
That’s not a demo per say… it is just a random site I linked to. They never ran WordPress or Connections as far as I am aware of. But you do make a good point. I can definitely see how this my be viewed as a demo of the template on a third party site vs. a demo of the template being used as simple a display example.
re: I’ll test cMap to see if I will stick with it.
Many chamber sites rely on Connections and cMAp so it is a good fit.
Hope that helps!

re: Does this plugin have the ability to allow the end user to add their own business profile to the directory
Yes, you will need the Link extension. And, optionally, the Form extension if you wish to enabled frontend editing.
re: put them on hold until payment is made?
When setting up Link you can choose to set the permissions so the submitted entry must be approved before it will be listed. But this is not tied to any type of payment because Connections does not natively support payment processing or taking payments for listings.
re: Does this script have a membership area where I can protect unless they are a paid member?
No, there is no “membership area”. Many others use a membership plugin like Restrict Content Pro / s2member to manage memberships/payments/renewals and such. They have a membership page. The link extension includes shortcode you can add to those pages to allow a user to view and edit their entry. Many use the Login extension and use that widget in their theme’s sidebar instead because it is easier.
re: will this integrate with another membership plugin like s2member?
No directly, however, many use the two together. Generally the process is to use s2Member to take payment which then give them access to the “membership page” where they can then add their entry to the directory.
Hope this answers your question thoroughly!

You are not seeing the map because the single entry detail/profile page is being displayed with the Default Entry card template. Please disable the Single Entry Template option found on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab in the Single Entry section. After you disabled that option and if the Google Maps API was configured you should see a map.
Hope that helps! Let me know after you disable that option.

I’ve checked the zip file, it is fine … it’s the same file everyone downloads. The issue is likely you computer, not an issue really, but if you have a Mac and use Safari I believe it defaults to automatically unzipping the file on download. Perhaps that is what is going on???
If you post an admin login as a private reply I’ll log in and do the install real quick. I’ll grant the refund if it plugin actually for some reason does not work in your installation of WP. But I can promise you that it’ll work because it has for many hundreds of others, nearly all without issue if the advice and instructions are followed in the documentation.

The error is saying that PHP has run out of the memory that was allocated to it. Presently it seems there is about 72MB assigned. You’ll have to increase this amount. I suggest setting it to 128MB. Here’s a link that outlines several methods you can use to increase this amount. Which method will work for you really depends on your web host and their configuration of the server. My suggestion is to start at the top of list and work your way down.
The error is the cause of you not being able to edit entries. This is because PHP ran out of memory before the page could finished being loaded.
I hope that helps, let me know.

Open the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab. Google Maps will display an error message here telling you what is wrong. The two most common issues that I’m seeing so far is the referred set in correctly or the APIs not being enabled in the Google API Console.
My suggestion is to look at those errors and correct what Google is saying is wrong. It could be easier to just start over by following the get Google Maps API Keys tutorial.
If you can share a link with me to your directory page, then I can looks to see what the error is and provide more specific advice.
I hope this helps! Let me know.

They already are, on mobile devices. On the desktop, you need to have an app installed that can make voice calls.

You’ll need at least the the Link extension and optionally the Form extension if you want to add frontedn editing support too.
Hope that helps!

The link can only be broken by either deleting the user or the linked entry. An admin interface for switching is on the shortlist of todos for Link.
