KeymasterThanks for the excellent suggestion.

KeymasterCurrently you can not use Connections on the page site as the sites “front page”. WordPress redirects all queries to the blog page.
If you move the directory home page to any page other than the front page, it’ll work fine.
Hope that helps.

No problem, glad to help. Question, if I may? What do your changes accomplish?

The error message is saying where to look for the error. The cause of the error is in this file:
../wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.entry.php
On line: 2936
It’s calling the function dates() which should be in this file:
../wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.retrieve.php
Why are you getting this error, sorry, I do not know. Did you by chance change or remove the dates() function? Thats where I would look first.

KeymasterThat’s almost correct. Using the reset all roles option won’t work. Under each role, the very last choice is to reset that role only. Check that for both the S1 and S2 roles and then set add/edit capabilities.

KeymasterOk, I figured it out. Currently, activating/deactivating or upgrading Connections will reset the roles settings to their defaults. That’s something I shouldn’t do, but I haven’t worked that out yet. Connections doesn’t take custom roles into account so the permission to view public entries is not applied to the custom roles. What this means that even if a user is logged in, because their role doesn’t have the right to view public entries so they can’t be displayed. The fix, for now, is to reset the S1 and S2 roles and then give them the add/edit capabilities again. The reset will ensure they are given permission to see public entries. I hope that makes sense.

Looks like you’re running a caching plugin, make sure to clear your page cache. The old template JavaScript file is still being loaded for cMap as well as the theme’s CSS file with Connections styles that were added to it.

It seem’s a there are a bunch of styles related to Connections in the theme’s style.css file, you might want to remove all of them, lines 676 thru 767. After you do, the images will show up fine. Hope that helps.

Yes that is correct. The connection_images folder will be empty until you start uploading images/logos. And the connections_templates will be empty until/if you purchase and install a premium template [for now, this’ll be changing very soon].

The solution to allow users to add their own entry is Link. However, this still requires a trip to the admin to a page similar to the user profile admin page.
