Edit the page you inserted the
[connections]shortcode on, switch the editor to theTexttab and then remove the<code>and<pre>HTML tags from around the shortcode.That’ll fix it.
The cost of the issue is that you likely copy/pasted the shortcode from a web page into the post editor while in the
Visualpost editor tab. When you do this, the HTML from the source page will also be pasted.Hope that helps!

To move the data you need to use a tool such as phpMyAdmin to move the
connectionstables from the source database to the destination database. The you need to move the images. There two folders you need to move, here are the relative paths:../wp-content/connections_image/../wp-content/uploads/connections-images/
The first is a legacy folder and you do not need to worry about it at all if it is empty.
With that said … it is probably far easier to simply use a plugin like Duplicator or backupBuddy.

Yes, it is possible to add but only programmatically right now. If you need a dev, there is one I can recommend who has experience with doing this type of work with Connections. Let me know if this is a direction you’d like to go and I’ll ask him to drop by this thread so you and he can make contact.

This was a long standing bug that was finally fixed within Connections. An entry added as anIndividual, the first and last name are the minimum required fields to be entered and if the entry type isOrganizationthe org name is required. Before Connections would still work, but with changes in 8.1 and greater it is 100% necessary to have them.re: it still wouldn’t display the entry on the directory
- HAve you updated to Connections 8.1.3? There were some edge case bugs with Connection on multisite that affected a few users that were addresses in 8.1.1 and 8.1.2.
Can you add an entry with and without adding an image? - If you can, does it show on the Connections : manage admin page?
- When you say it doesn’t display in the directory, do you mean only on the site frontend?
- Are you setting the entry as
Public? - What is the exact shortcode you are using on the directory page?
