Last week I release a minor update to the CSV Import addon which first checks to see if the library is available before trying to use it. Perhaps you will be able to import now without using an older version. I suggest updating the CSV import addon and give it another go.
If that does not work, I am emailing you an older version which should. I you need to use it, first deactivate and delete the installed version. Then you will be able to install the version I have emailed you like you normally would any plugin.
Let me know if you do not receive the emailed version.
Hope this helps, let me know.

Yes, this is also how I did it on the Gridder product page.

RE: How do I set up a way for new people to add their listing to the directory?
You will need at least the Link addon and, optionally, the Form addon if you wish for the user to edit their entry from the frontend rather than from their admin user profile page.
RE: I need a way to invite people to sign up for the directory.
Connections does not handle User invites of WP User registrations. You would need another plugin to do that. I can not think of any plugins which do user invitations. But you could a built in WP feature.
Create a new WP user, when you do, you have the option to send the user their password.
When this user logins in, they will be able to add their directory entry assuming you have installed/activate the Link addon for Connections.
I did do a quick web search and found this user invitation plugin:
You could use it for the invitations and after the user registers they would be able to add their directory entry.
Hope this helps!

RE: If I create a dev site like this, dev.mywebsite.com
When activating a license on a domain like this, the license should activate and not count towards the activation limit.
https://connections-pro.com/faqs/support-license-key/
If you find that it does, before you migrate the site, deactivate the licenses. YOu will then be able to activate them on the live site.
If you forget to deactivate them, you can deactivate them dev site activation from your Purchase History page under the Licenses tab. YOu would click the Manage Sites link for each license you need to manage and deactivate them. Afterwards your would be able to activate them on the live site.

The Name panel is an overlay, there is not a way to put it under the image. You do have a couple options though.
The first, change the image size so it is taller than it is wide. That will create a scaled scrop that is a portrait format which should give room for the Name overlay.
The other option is to display the Name panel only on mouse over.
And you could do a combination of both.
I hope this helps, let me know.

If you made these changes to the Gridder files directly instead of using the override files that I recommended then those changes are lost if you update Gridder. This is not a unique limitation to Connections or its templates, the same would occur if you made direct edits to a WP theme or plugin.
Depending on your webhost…
Did you just very recently update Gridder? Like today? If so, you might be able to retrieve the edited files from your web hosts backup files for your site. You would have to contact them and ask specifically for the files in
../wp-content/plugins/connections-gridder/. The last thing you want is for them to restore the entire site. It’s my unfortunate experience that web hosts tend to mess that up, badly. If you have no reliable backup files, the only option is to make all those edits again, but make sure they are to template override files instead. These will be safe from WP overwriting them when it applies updates.
Link to template override files tutorial.
Not sure how helpful this is, but I hope it is!

I just sent the download link and instructions. Let me know if you do not receive it.

KeymasterThanks! I pulled down the PO files for the last two updates.
The Import CSV does require more work, primarily the instruction text. But, there is much that will still be in English because the text is referencing the actual table column names which can not be translated.

Sorry, but there is not a method to display just a single entry without embedded the entire directory on the page. I have not added such a feature because it is so rarely requested.

There are a few string which are template specific and have shortcode options available to use to change them. Here is the link to a FAQ on how to use these options:
https://connections-pro.com/documentation/tile-plus/#How_do_I_use_the_str__shortcode_options
Here a link to all the options available to Tile Plus and their default values:
https://connections-pro.com/documentation/tile-plus/#Shortcode_Options
Here’s an example shortcode showing how to change the “Select Category” string:
[connections str_select="Change Me Select Category" str_select_all="Change Me Show All"]You add these options to the existing shortcode, not as a second instance of the shortcode on the page.
Hope this helps!
