Make sure you set the Fields delimited by: option to the Semicolon option after you choose the file to import.

ProTip: Before doing a large bulk import, do so with a CSV file which only has a few entries in order to verify the import yields the expected results before importing the remaining.

Yep. It should be as simple as installing cMap and then activating it on the Connections : Templates admin page. You will not have to re-enter anything. You can change templates as often as you wish without losing any of your directory data.

I definitely know of FacetWP, but to the best of my knowledge it only support searching WordPress pages/posts (including custom post types). Connections does not use these to store its data it uses custom tables with a schema more optimized for directories. The WordPress posts (CPT) are optimized for post like content. So adding support to Connections for FacetWP is not likely possible.

The closest I can offer is something like this:

This site uses a custom multiple category search which includes a radius search base on zipcode and a keyword search. If you think this will meet your needs I can offer it at a reasonable rate which would include installation and configuration.

You purchase of Market is grandfathered into free lifetime support license. I’ve adjusted your account to reflect it. You can now download Market from your purchase history under the Downloads tab.

Your purchases of both Form and ROT13 Email Encryption, the support license have expired can be renewed on your purchase history under the Licenses tab at a 20% discount. After you do, you can download the latest versions. If you chose to, I highly recommend updating them on the site your are using them. After you do, make sure to activate the licenses on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Licenses tab. When they are activated on a site, you’ll receive in admin update of these items.

Reading thru the posts it seems like you have a good grasp on the family type. I can not think of anything to add.

This can be turned off globally on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab under the Permalink by disabling the Name option.

This may or may not meet your needs but worth a try.

Yes, I would recommend separate pages tabs can cause many side effects from putting the shortcode on the page multiple times. It’s doable as there are enough options in Connections to workaround most, but not all, side effects such as the resolving to the correct tab.
