I suspect that another plugin or perhaps the theme is not limiting their javascript to their own admin pages and this is causing a fatal javascript error which is preventing javascript from running correctly on that page.

To determine this. Load the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab. Lastly click the button to start the export. Any errors will be listed in the console. Those errors may provide clues into the cause of the error. If they do not you might have to do the conflict checks:

• How do I check for a plugin conflict?
• How do I check for a theme conflict?

RE: When I do a test post, it automatically is posted to the database. This is after I receive the obligatory email saying I have a new posting and it is in the queue to be reviewed… I answered the first question. It appears they post automatically when tested, but when I took the program live and posted from another browser, it did what it was supposed to do.

Yes, when you submit entries while logged in as the admin, you are submitting the entry as the admin with all the same permissions and capabilities. So, test while logged out.

RE: Can I put a ‘Submit Entry’ link somewhere besides the gallery page? I want a short term page where a number of people can submit entries without seeing items already in the database. (Primarily because I’m still formulating the end product)

Sorry, no, this is not supported.

Sorry, but you will have to contact your web host support. This issue is unrelated to Connections. The likely source of the issue is the the installation and configuration of the security cert on your site/domain.

The issue is that you are displaying hundreds of entries on a single page. This is not a bug or limitation in Connections, the same would occur if you were to try to display that many WordPress Posts on a single WordPress Page.

The solution is the same as my previous answer to the other question, you’ll need a template which supports pagination.

I would recommend the cMap template.

I’m assuming you are adjusting the image crop options using the cMap Template Customizer, correct? If so, when you are viewing the Preview in the Customizer, click and entry name. Any entry name it does not matter. The preview will refresh displaying the single entry profile detail view of cMap. Now, make you image settings changes again in the Customizer.

The reason this needs to be done is that the cMap template support configuring both views independently for greater flexibility. There are more details about this in the notes displayed above the directory in the Customizer preview.

Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Fieldset Configuration tab. In the Entry Type Options section at the very top, enable the Individual and Organization entry types. Save the changes.

You will first have to bulk delete the existing entries on the Connections : Manage admin page.

Since you are importing a larger number of entries I suggest enabling beta support for CSV Import. To do do this navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Beta Versions tab. Add a checkmark to CSV Import and save. Next navigate to the WordPress Updates admin page. There is nothing to do on this page but this should force WP to check for updates again. Now navigate to the WordPress Plugins admin page. The beta update to CSV Import should show. Click the Update Now link.

This beta version offers improved speed while importing large files. It also provides more user feedback during the import process.

ps. In regards to the phone numbers, on the mapping step, make sure to map the phone number field to the Connections phone number field.

Great to hear!

The reason for the duplication of the shortcode values is because the cMap shortcodes actually map to these new shortcode options. You have to use these because that mapping is not being done because the template is not being used when now search is being performed.

What I should do is update the search plugin to do the mapping of those values that way they should just work as expected. I’ll try to set some time aside today to update it.

• Is the phone number shown when you edit an entry?
• Can you link to the directory page where no phone numbers are being shown?
