On your “Work at Home Customer Service” page, please click the “Customer Service” category link and attach a screenshot. Thanks!

SiteShot uses a service provided by wp.org called mshot in order to create the site screenshots. It is pretty much a block box to which I have not direct control over…
For sites where you are seeing the 503… my best guess is the site’s server firewall is blocking access, In the past I’ve tried other services which provide site screenshots, they too would also receive same message. So this leads me to believe that it is not the service but the site.
They may not purposefully be blocking, but they could be blocking something else which has the side effect of blocking these services.
The only real solution here is to take the screen capture yourself and add it to the entry.
In regards to the 404 message. I’ve seen this when the site being captured is too slow in responding or unresponsive at the time of being captured. The captures are cached by mshot for a period of time and that cache can not be flushed.
You will also get 404 when trying to capture a site with an incorrect or a redirected URL.
For example on this page https://www.storrington.org.uk/attractions/food-and-drink/ the entry for The Moon Pub. The website is http://www.themoonpub.co.uk/ but it seems that URL is actually redirected to https://themoonpub.co.uk/. Notice the difference? Try correcting the link to see if that fixes that entry. Keep in mind the captures are cached are it will take time for that cached capture to be refreshed.
Hope this helps. Let me know.

You after screenshot does not seem to be showing the directory filtered by a category which means no category description. So, I really can’t see the issue. Or maybe I do not understand.

Can you please link to an example on your site?

I’ve reviewed our email history… there was nothing I could find in regards to a failed update and you having to export and reload the database.
However…
I did find where you asked if there was a way to identify changed entries from a specific date because an individual who was to keep track did not and you need to migrate those changes to another site.
My suggestion was to export the data from the source site to the site needing updated. I wonder if this is what you are remembering??? If that is, that had nothing to do with updating Connections.
Any way, on to your question…
I’ve never tested upgrading from such an old version. Technically it should be fine, but I would proceed with an abundance of caution. I personally would make a backup of the file of the version of Connections you are using. I would also make duplicates of the Connections tables in the database. That way both could be rolled back in case of an issue. Alternatively, you could use a plugin to backup the site and database. That way is something goes wrong, you could just restore the entire site and database. That is more of using a hammer instead of a scalpel approach but would work.
Our email exchanges indicate that you may have edited the files for the template you are using. Depending on those changes, the template may or may not be compatible.
If you want, I could perform the upgrade for you as a service for a fee. Let me know.
Not sure if this helps, but hope it does!

I am not exactly certain as to what the issue is, but, it sounds like your licenses are activated on a developer site and not you want to activate them on another site.
The licenses can only be activated on one site at a time.
You must deactivate the licenses on the developer site before you can activate them on the second site.
If you no longer have access to the developer site, please see the “License Activated on Another Site” section in this FAQ.
Hope this helps, let me know!

KeymasterSorry, no. It just does not come up enough for it to become a priority.

How exactly does it not work? I was able to add both links as social media profile links.

This is being styled by the theme… there probably is an option to change the link color. If there is not, add the following to the theme’s custom CSS area:
#cn-list a { color: #0081cc; }The color I choose seems to be the default color assigned to link by the theme. Tweak as desired.
Hope this helps!

The pricing changes I have long expected… ever since they started requiring an API for access. For now they are giving every user $200 free usage every month for Maps, Routes, or Places. Based on the pricing tables, this actually increases the amount free usage under the pricing / usage limits. Perhaps in time the amount of free usage will be reduced, but in the present those using it free now, will still be using free after June 11.
I am aware of Maps Marker Pro. They use the Leaflet library for OSM support. It does appear that library has matured quite a bit since I last reviewed it. If OSM mapping data is more mature/complete, it could be a viable replacement.
