I’ve looked at the shortcode you’re using, just a few typos, I’ve corrected them below. Since it is long, you’ll have to triple click on it it, then you can copy the whole thing.
[connections_form default_type='organization' select_type='false' str_contact_name='Business Contact Information' category='true' photo='true' logo='true' address='TRUE' phone='TRUE' email='TRUE' link='TRUE' notes='TRUE' bio='false' social='false' messenger='FALSE']
Other than a few small typos, it looks like your shortcode is spot on for the info you want to capture.

If you’re are certain that neither the [raw] or [noformat] shortcodes have not been implemented within the theme, please try enabling the Template Compatibility option found on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab.
Here’s a FAQ on the how to use the custom labels and a list of available options found on this page.

str_select_all=’Show All Categories’
str_image=’No Logo Available’
str_tray_image=’No Photo Available’

str_note_hide=’Close Notes’
str_contact=’Contact’

str_school_addr=’School’
str_other_addr=’Other’
str_home_phone=’Home Phone’
str_home_fax=’Home Fax’
str_cell_phone=’Cell Phone’
str_work_phone=’Work Phone’
str_work_fax=’Work Fax’
str_personal_email=’Personal Email’
str_work_email=’Work Email’
str_visit_website=’Visit Website’CSV Import maps to fields available to Connections and cMap only displays those fields so there really is nothing to matchup … the fields in the CSV file have to be mapped to available fields within Connections and using cMap you can change the names of some of those fields but that is for presentation only. I hope that makes sense!

Form does allow site visitors to create entries for your directory. You can put Form on any page by putting its shortcode on any page of your choosing, just like you did for the Connections shortcode. Here’s a link to the FAQ. I think you might want to use Link instead. It’ll allow a registered WordPress user on your site to maintain their own entry within Connections. However, this currently requires a trip to their “Edit Directory Entry” page in the admin. I mention this because for some that is not a direction they want to take. Later this year both Form and Link will receive an upgrade so if both are installed, a user will be able to maintain there entry from the front end.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

KeymasterWould you be willing to try a beta copy of Link that includes the fix? I was hoping I could roll the fix into Connections, but that’s just not going to work.

yes, I too noticed this very shortly after push out the 0.7.6.2 update. I’ve pulled it very quickly. I guess you got it before I finshed the roll back. Just delete Connections and reinstall, it’ll be version 0.7.6.1.

KeymasterSorry, I had to pull back the update, the change actually caused data lose when making multiple edits. So I’m re-opening the issue … hopefully I can come up with a solution today.

KeymasterGood to hear! The next update will force the image size making setup easier.

KeymasterOk, after spending a better part of an afternoon pounding my head against my desk I figured it out and fixed it. I’m going to be releasing version 0.7.6.2 this evening that contains the fix. I’m going to mark this as resolved. Please let me know if the new version fixes it or now for you.

You could just set the page to private and set the password there.

I suggest using categories for regions. Many other have and it’s worked out well for them.
