Did you try the solution I gave you?

You just need to make one minor configuration change. On the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab, check the Single Entry option and save.

Now on the Connections : Templates admin page, under both the Individual and Organization template types, activate your desired template.

The Names template really was only designed for use using the “View All” list action list. I considered making that template hidden so it couldn’t be activated. The reason because it would be confusing. Maybe the next update I’ll pull it, what’s your thought? Thanks for your feedback.

Right now looks like everything works when I visit except the Google Maps which makes sense if the API is turned off. Can you please turn it back on and let me know hen you do?

Why it worked before and doesn’t now, even though I give the option not to load the Google Map API, it still has to be loaded by the other plugin or theme first. If the other plugin or theme does not load it before Connections needs it, the map for cMap will fail. Basically I’m crossing my fingers hoping it is loaded in the right order. That’s something I do not have control over, the load order of other plugins, WordPress handles that.

Another user just recently experienced a similar issue, but with Uber Menu. Unfortunately Uber menu loaded the API too late to be used for cMap and because it was being loaded twice, the maps didn’t work correctly. Luckily the dev from Uber Menu must experience the same troubles because they also give the ability to disable the loading of the Google Maps API. So in that users case, switching it off in Uber Menu was the solution.

I’m confused, just a little. cMap doesn’t show the “Last Updated” text, so it can’t be changed. On the templates that do show it, the only way to remove it or change it is to edit the template PHP files.

Choosing a birthday for an organization, I think that is not saved because an organization can not have a birthday. Honestly, I thought I did strip that logic out last fall, but I can’t remember for certain so I’ll have to double check.

That’s good to hear, but what is your host talking about? There’s no know security issue and that definitely would not be an issue with the content trays not opening for you. That would be JavaScript related. Since upgrading resolved the issue, that points to a local browser cache issue like I suggested in the original thread.

Any way, I’m glad the issue is resolved and things are working again for you.

Yes you can still have you own custom template. You do not need to buy anything.

It’s hard to say the exact issue because the template is being registered otherwise it would even get to the point of trying to be opened.

The first thing to check, On the Connections : Dashboard admin page there is a System widget make sure the CN_CUSTOM_TEMPLATE_PATH is where your folder with your template files are actually located. Also, make sure this is no different than what is being reported in the error above. All three paths should/have to match exactly.

Log in to your web host control panel. Find the link to phpMyAdmin. If you’re on the typical shared host, it’ll be there. Find the database for your WordPress install. This will be the same info as found in the wp-config.php file. After you select the correct database, find the Connections table, which should be wp_connections. The “wp_” prefix could be anything else. This would also be defined in the wp-config.php file. After you find the correct table, you will be able to directly edit the Connections entries. Just click the edit link and change the “slug” to be unique which in most cases is the entry name in all lowercase with hyphens instead of spaces.
