Sorry, but this is not possible unless the core PHP files for Connections are edited. The images can only be made a link, by assigning one of the links that you add to an entry.

Yes, you can run as many templates on the site as you want. Every one of the available templates are actually running on this site.
The shortcodes in the first post appears to be correct. Other than the incorrect template being used, is the correct category being shown?
In the second post, was the Profile template displayed? The id option is to display a single entry, not a category. You want to use the category option is you want to specify a category by id.
Which version of Connections are you currently running?

Yes, upgrading Connections is standard, just click the upgrade now button. The updated cMap can be downloaded from your Purchase History. There are specific upgrade instructions that need to be done when upgrading from an older version of cMap to the new version. The summary is you have to delete the current version and install the update as a plugin, not as a template. After it is installed as a plugin, it will then show up on the templates page for activation.

Yes, when clicking the title, this is correct functionality.

Not certain exactly what you’re asking, but I’ll take a stab it.
The Floral Park Village site is using a much older version of cMap and you’re running the latest version so there are some differences. The white background that is being shown on cMap is not correct and is being caused by a style in the theme. This will no longer be an issue for the latest version of cMap because it no longer uses a table for layout.
The other big difference is when you click thru to a single entry. This is what I think you might be asking about, please let me know if it is not…
One of the new features in Connections 0.7.6.x was a completely new templating system. One of the major enhancements allows, for the lack of a better term, multiple views. So, when in “list view” cMap is displayed in the card format and in “single view” the design, or lack of, is to permit the theme to style the elements as much as possible for a visually seamless experience for the user.
This decision was made because of very high demand that when in “single view” that the info and map be expanded by default so the user would not have to continue clicking to see the info. Because a list of items is not being shown and everything is open by default, visually, it made more sense to allow the theme to handle the styling. This offers a pretty good integrated experience for the users.
I hope this answers your question accurately and thoroughly.

- Yes, there is an option, order_by, that can be used regardless of the template being used.
- Sorry, no, none of the templates offer that feature.
Thanks for your interest in Connections, I hope this helps.

This is actually correct functionality for cMap 3.0.1, actually just about every template now. One of the new features in Connections 0.7.6.x was a completely new templating system. One of the major enhancements allows, for the lack of a better term, multiple views. So, when in “list view” cMap is displayed in the card format and in “single view” the design, or lack of, is to permit the theme to style the elements as much as possible for a visually seamless experience.

Because a list of items is not being shown and everything is open by default, visually, it made more sense to allow the theme to handle the styling. This offers a pretty good integrated experience.
I hope that fully explains the functionality and the decisions behind that functionality.

I guess we can call it beta … It was just added to every template that has a category select.

What’s new is a little difficult to quantify because it was virtually a complete rewrite. But here’s a couple things…
It’ll show all the link instead of just a single website address.
Removed some custom CSS to allow the theme to control more for better integration.
Removed the use of a table for layout which allows it to be better “responsive”. It was tested in Twenty Twelve at various screen sizes.
It now has a secondary view. When you click thru to a single entry, all details are shown, but styling is left to the theme for the best integration.I think those are all the highlights.

That appears to be the case because you made the purchase using your gmail address. Please use the forgot password link with your gmail address to reset your password. You’ll then be able to log into the account that has your purchase history.
