    @ Maureen

Installation and activation is all it should take with nothing else to do.

Here’s what you can do to help identify what the issue might be…

First, install the latest version of Connections, version 0.7.6.4.

Install and activate the BlackBox plugin. That’ll show any errors that are occurring in a bar across the top of the screen.

Increase the PHP memory to at least 64MB. I recommend 128MB. If this is the issue. It is just a matter of time before this causes you other issues, so it’s good just to do it now.

Now, activate cMap, leave it activated and let me know. I look at the site to see if I can identify the issue.

The theme on this site is not responsive so you will not be able to see Excerpt being fluid. It is not being fluid on your site because you have the width shortcode option set at 500 which locks the width at 500px. You have to remove the width option.

    @ Kate

I’ve seen many other users do the exact same thing, so I don’t see any issue with it.

    @ Ray

If you want to make the adjustment now, add the following to the end of the theme’s style.css file:

    #cn-list .cn-entry-single .cn-right { float: right; }

It looked very poor with the contact details wrapping around the image with the text left aligned. But, more importantly, in responsive theme’s at small screen sizes this was a necessity for usability.

I’ve quaduple checked the zip file and there’s been dozens of downloads since your initial post, the file is good. The file you attached is definitely corrupt. I see you downloaded it four times today, so I going to assume you are definitely overwriting the corrupt version. Can you give me the exact step you’re following when you download, please include the software names and versions and I’ll see if I can replicate it. Thanks.

Connections and Slim are compatible with JetPack. It actually looks like your theme might not be [could be another plugin]. It is loading a very old very of jQuery rather than the version that is bundled in with WordPress. There is a setting within Connections that when enabled it attempts to correct this issue. The setting can be found under the Advanced tab on the Connections : Settings admin page. Check the jQuery option in the Compatibility section and save changes. Give that go to see if it solves the problem.

That should be family_name. I updated the doc page.

I did not include a POT file for Connections Link, one will be included in the next update. However, you can create your own by following these instructions.

You should save the POT file as connections_link.pot in the lang folder, not the submenus folder.

After you create the POT file you can use that with Poedit to create the PO/MO files which has to be named connections_link-fr_FR.po and connections_link-fr_FR.mo.

The Widget Pack already has a POT file that you can use to translate. You can use Poedit to create the PO/MO files which has to be named connections_widgets-fr_FR.po and connections_widgets-fr_FR.mo.

    I hope that helps.

Edit the page where you entered the shortcode, switch the editor to the Text tab and remove the <pre> tags from around the shortcode.

I removed the login info posted here for your security …

I did try to login, but the info was invalid. But I can say this without seeing it…

The cursive font is being set by the theme, so you’ll have to add CSS to the theme’s style.css file to override it where you do not want it to be shown.
