That is the current current functionality. The character index does not filter by character or jump to the page that the character group exists. The links only jump to the character group if it exists on the current page. The premium templates use to filter the character index to show only the characters that existed on the current page of results; but so many requested that all letters be shown regardless of the fact that when clicking a character would not jump or filter the list by the character that was clicked. So, in the last updates to the templates I removed the filter. With that said, later this summer, the character index will receive an update so the it will filter by character as it does in the admin.
Hope that helps.

Yes, with S2memeber active the links should now create as expected. The data duplication issue was a permissions issue with the S2member role. I reset the role capabilities and then set the edit permission … now it seems all is well. One thing to keep in mind, after updates to Connections, you’ll have to reset the role capabilities.

Check this out … I just created a new add-on plugin for Connections; SiteShot. Basically it does exactly what you want, you can see it demoed here.

KeymasterOh, I understand. Yes; you can add the shortcode on the same page with different attributes.
What users were doing was adding the shortcode to the page multiple times each with a different attribute but expectioning only one result list using all the attributes instead of the list multiple times with different attributes. Does that make sense.
What you want to do will work.

You have two options.
Create the Zone One and Zone Two top level categories and create duplicate categories under each Zone. The if you’re using a premium template that has a category drop down you could use the enable_category_by_root_parent shortcode option.
The other option would be create your two zone categories and all the other categories and then use the category_in. Doing it this way, you would have to create a page for each category in each zone.
Personally, I’d op for the former because it would involves a lot less work.
Hope that helps.

What was the solution?

1.) Sorry, yes. I made the decision to allow the user to decide the presentation order so there is no auto way of handling it.
2.) Sorry, no, that is not an option. The closest is
show_dates. I removed the invalid documentation for show_birthday and show_anniversary as those are legacy options that were available before the the Dates meta field was added and they were rolled in to it.Steven Zahm

Apologies, I most the post.
Sorry, but no. I’ve logged this as a feature request.

Let’s see…
1.) The phone numbers, all info actually, is presented in the same order that you entered it unless you imported via a CSV file. If you need the home number last, you need to edit the entry and drag the home phone number to the end of the list of phone numbers.
2.) Since you have cMap, you should take a look at the shortcode options page. It has over 60 options that can be set, one of which is to turn off the map. Add this to the shortcode:
enable_map='true'3.) Sorry, but it can not be open by default, unless you edit the actual template PHP files. You can, however, change the strings by settings a couple shortcode options:
str_note_head='Keys' str_note_show='Keys Notes' str_note_hide='Keys Notes'4.) Not possible at the moment, however, just last night I committed the changes to allow the date format to be set in the settings. This release will occur near the end of the month.
5.) Sorry, no, I’ve added it to my feature request.
6.) Are you running on a Windows server? You should set it up so index.php is not part of the permalink construct. Currently Connections is not compatible with that type of setup for URLs every other feature within Connections should work just fine.
I think that’s it … Did I miss anything?

Yes, deleting a user ID will break the link … the email linking is only done to attempt to create a link. The link is based on the user ID. When a link is established it is persistent based on the user ID to prevent high jacking an entry.
