You can’t use the sample alternate Level [1] | Chocolate heading text to change yours. You need to use the heading from your post.

Example:

A heading from in your post content might be: How to golf properly

You want this to be displayed as Golf in the TOC.

You would use this:

How to golf properly|Golf

Capitalization matter — the original heading you enter must match exactly as it is in the post. If it does not, it will not get replaced in the TOC with the alternating heading.

To place the TOC anywhere within the post content you can use the [ez-toc]. Please note that you can use this for manual placement, it is not officially supported.

Maybe this will work for you?

[connections meta_query='{"meta_query":{"0":{"key":"Membership Type","value":"Golden","compare":"="}}}']

Capitalization matter, so, you might have to change Membership Type and/or Golden so it works.

The key is the Custom Fields Name and the value is the Value in the Custom Fields.

I recommend the cMap template. In as far as displaying different details to users which are logged in vs those who are not…

When adding, lets say an address, set the address to “Private”. It will be visible to only logged in users. Most fieldset, phone, email, etc. have that option.

Is the entry you added which is not showing one of the ids listed in the shortcode: id="80,2,7,57,75,3,4,5,6"?

Is the entry assigned to category 2?

If the entry is not both of those, it will not get displayed.

• Make sure you have set the directory home page setting on the Connections Settings admin page under the Display to to a page which has the [connections] shortcode.

Edit the page in which you want the TOC items to have different text than the actual page headings.

Scroll down to the Table of Contents metabox.

Here you will find an alternate text feature.

Use this to change the TOC items text.

What is the exact shortcode you are using on the page to display the diretcory?

It sounds like Connections might work for you. You need at least the Link addon and optionally the Form addon. Link will allow your registered WP users to add and maintain their own entries in Connections. Form provides a way for the user to do that from the site’s frontend.

The Soundcloud, Itunes, YouTube links can be added as social media links. There is an option to add a link to each of those services.
