Introduction

The Upcoming List block can be used to display a list of upcoming anniversaries, birthdays, membership, or other date events added to an entry.

Type
This option allows you to control the listed upcoming dates from anniversaries, birthdays, membership, or other registered date events.
Default: Birthday
Style
Using this option, you choose between a dark and light template.
Default: Light
Heading

Enter the heading you wish to have displayed above the list. You can use %d
as a placeholder for the number of days ahead, the list is configured to display.
Example: Birthdays in the next %d days.
(%d
will be released by the number of days)
Default: blank
(no heading)
Display last name?
Turning this option on will display the entry’s last name. When turned off, the last name will not be displayed. This is so the list can be publicly displayed without revealing to the world at large the full name of the entry.
Default: Off
Number of Days
Use this option to choose how many days ahead the list should display. For example, setting this option to 7
will display a list of upcoming events that occur within the next 7 days.
Default: 30
Include Today?

Whether or not to include the current date (today) in the list.
Default: On
Year Display
Use this option to configure how the year is displayed.
Options:
- Original Year :: Choose this option to have the year of the date entered displayed.
- Upcoming Year :: This option will display the next date on which the event occurs. For example, if a birthday was added to an entry with a date of 2/21/1973, the year displayed would be the current year (ie. 2018 instead of 1973) if today is before the next occurrence. If today is after the next occurrence, the next year’s date will be displayed (ie. 2019 instead of 1973). This option is useful if you do not wish to publicly disclose the birthday or anniversary date of an individual.
- Years Since :: This will option display the number of years which have passed since the date entered. For example, if the date 1/1/1973 was entered, choosing this option will display
45 Years

No Results Notice
This message is displayed when there are no upcoming event dates within the specified number of days.
Default: No results.
Advanced
Date Format

Use this option to configure the displayed date format. To learn more about the valid date format option, please read the WordPress documentation on the date and time formatting.
Default: F jS
Example: F j, Y
will display as Month DD, YYYY (ie. September 24, 2004)
Years Since Format
Use this option to configure the Year Since display option. To learn more about the valid format options, please read the documentation of the date interval format options.
Default: %y Year(s)
Example: %Y years, %M months, %D days
will display 45 years, 11 months, 9 days
if the date entered is January 1, 1973.
