    @ Richard

    First, I am not an SEO expert but my understanding is that Google and other major search engines don’t actually use the page title or page description to rank your site. And Google may decide via their own algorithms to create their own improved page titles for the search results for your site. The link goes into more details.

    More info on the SEO settings in Connections can be found in the docs. Here are a few examples of how the settings affect the page:

    Page Meta

    • Title -> Enabled (This affects the page title in the browser tab. This is the one Google may use in their search results.)

    Entry Name | Parent Page Title

    • Title -> Disabled

    Entry Name

    • Description -> Enabled (This may or may not be used as the page description Google displays in their search results)

    Adds a page description created as an excerpt from either the current entry bio.

    • Description -> Disabled

    No page description is added. Google may or may not create its own from the page content.

    Page Display

    • Title -> Enabled (This is the page title displayed on the page)

    Entry Name | Parent Page Title

    • Title -> Disabled

    Entry Name

    Hope this helps!

    Use the browser dev console to inspect the output after the change. I suspect it is being displayed, but the font size is 0 and perhaps the line height too. The Gridder template is unique in this manner to achieve its layout.

    You’ll need to add you own CSS to have them display properly. I suspect this CSS is in the the old theme’s custom CSS Area. Perhaps you can temporarily activate it and copy it and paste it into the current theme’s Custom CSS area.

    Hope this helps!

    The image thumbnails are created using the same image processing functions which core WP uses so the image quality from Connections would be the same as the thumbnails displayed by WP.

    I looked at the page both on my desktop (which has a decent quality display) and my iPad Pro I use when developing and the images seem fine. There’s not to much that can be done. The thumbnails are 100x100px.

    You could try increasing the image size a little.

    What would likely have more impact is uploading higher quality photos. Checking the source of a couple of them shows that they were made from older iPhone camera selfies.

    Not sure this helps, but I hope it does!

    Looking at some Google search results for your site:

    site:https://infoshield.co.uk/searches/auctioneers/

    It appears that some entries are indexed in the search results as the business name followed by infoshield (not sure it can be swapped the other way round).

    Many are | Buy sell antiques|Locate Auctioneers|Infoshield UK | Infoshield UK. Impossible for me to know, but my guess, this is being done by AIOSEO since it overrides core WP page titles.

    Impossible for me to know if business name followed by infoshield are the original indexed page titles or the other is. But, my guess is that business name followed by infoshield are the original Google indexed. If that is the case, I would suggest undoing whatever settings changes were done to make the page titles all | Buy sell antiques|Locate Auctioneers|Infoshield UK | Infoshield UK.

    Not sure this helps, but I hope it does!

    Yes, you can use the [connections_categories] shortcode options on a sepate page to display just the categories.

    Hope this helps!

    Sorry, no, there is not a way for Connections to create a logo slider.

    Great to hear you figured out Split Categories! I have a bunch of these single function feature addons. I’m working on adding these as perks for those that have purchased only they the Pro Pack in hope to make that bundle even more enticing.

    I did just now reply to your other email :)

    @ Michael

    The Call to undefined function add_action() does not make sense. That is a core WP function. If CSV Import is being loaded, it has to exist. It can only be loaded if WP is loaded.

    My best guess is something else with in the WP install has hijacked the action=import query very, very, early is the WP loading process without checking which page is doing the calling.

    I’m going to have to suggest doing the plugin conflict test. It also possible that the theme is the source of the issue.

    In regards to the license key, what is the key? I’ll look it up. what site are you trying to activate it on? Reply back as a private reply.

    I deactivated the licenses on uuchurch.net. You will not be able to activate them on your new site. This is also something you can manage from your purchase history page. Here’s the link to the faq. The relevant section is the “License Activated on Another Site” section.

    I hope this helps!
