You need to install Connections in order to use cMap.

The option name is definitely color … it’s what Im using on the demo page:
http://connections-pro.com/demo/template/gridder/

If you expand the get the shortcode plus sign you can see the shortcode I used for the demos.

I triple checked in the code to make sure.

If you’re copy/pasting … make sure you only do that while the Text tab is active in the WordPress page editor. If you paste while using the Visual tab, content can be pasted in that breaks WordPress’s ability to properly read the shortcode. I suggest switching it to the Text tab and making sure there is no unexpected code mixed in the shortcode.

Thanks for pointing out the typo! The instructions were correct, just the example was wrong. The option name is color.

I see you’re using WP Super Cache, try clearing your page cache. I have a feeling that when you’re not logged in you’re seeing an older cached version of the page and while you’re logged in, you’re seeing the page not cached.

On the entries which are not showing… it sounds like you set the ‘Visibility’ to ‘Private’. The selection is on the far right of the metabox when you add a social media network. Make sure it is set to public.

Sure, add the following to the theme’s custom CSS area:

#cn-cmap .cn-bio-anchor.toggle-div {
  font-weight: bold;
}
