Yes, there is. Here’s a live production site using a location based search:
I do sell this add on for a reasonable fee which does include installation and configuration. If you are interested, please contact me using the Contact link at the very bottom of the page.

I’m assuming you imported text info… if that is the case, you can follow the instructions on how to display a custom text field on the bottom of this tutorial.

Hope that helps, let me know!

re: I understand what you mean by adding the 4th line, makes sense but like you said, it won’t be linked!
Right, just like address lines 1–3 are not linked (permalinks). I’m only adding because it has been requested and if I’m going to make changes, now’s the time to do it. It does not really make any sense to have street address post box office type info as permalinks.
re: Just a question though, is there a reason why the “district” field would be placed above the country field between the city field?
I’m placing the district field above the country field on its own line because any fields I add to the add/edit form also affect the Form extension. So, adding fields have to deon in a way that will not break the CSS of the Form extension. Shimming a new field between extension fields will break the display and require an update to Form. I can not do anything that can break existing installations. So this is a good compromise.
As for displaying the actual field, you will have control over this. See this doc page for cMap on address formatting.. There’ll be token added for the fields so you’ll be able to place the district field in between the street address lines and the “region” line (city, state, zip) just like you need.
Hmmm… now that I said all this, perhaps the default placement should be above the “region” fields.

re: We had the free version of Connections, deleted it, and installed the paid version of Connections. We are not seeing the tabs that were present in the tutorial including “licenses” and “imports”.
There is no “paid version” of Connections… there is only the free Connections. You need to reinstall Connections in order to use the CSV Import extension. The extensions and templates are add ons to the to the free Connections plugin which add features to it, for example, bulk importing via the CSV Import extension.
I hope that clears up the confusion so you can get up and running!

Oh, I guess I should give some usage instructions :)
On the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab you found a new Categories sections this contains all the relevant settings. I think they all make sense. I’d appreciate any feedback that you can give on the settings names and description text.
Also, on the same page/tab in the Result List Actions section you’ll find a new option to display a view all categories page which you can choose to enable.
There only other item I can think of is the “Add Image” option on the Connections : Categories” admin page, that is not functional at the moment as that particular feature is still under development.
Have fun, I look forward to any feedback you may have!

Ok, I’ll send it your way. Also, it just now occurred to me you’ll also need a beta copy of the next Connections release because there is code that exists in it that will be required for the Advanced Categories extension. You should install the beta Connections before installing the Category extension.

As I mentioned, another user is requesting a district field which I definitrely think is the way to move forward.
Making this change will require quite a bit of changes, especially when factoring in permalink support that you need…
I am going to set aside time to do this soon and I will need some help with testing so if you and schulz (the other user) that would shorten dev time … it’s the testing that takes most of the time.
While I am at it making this change, I will also be adding an
Address Line 4field as well as aCountyline field; both of which I have receive multiple requests for. TheAddress Line 4will not have permalink support like the other address line fields but bothDistrictandCountywill. The
Address Line 4field will be placed after line three, makes sense, right :)Both
DistrictandCountywill be placed on a new row above theCountryfield. That seems to make the most sense to me.Does all this sound good?

Ok, I logged in and I installed the Query Monitor plugin which I said I needed.
I install Code Snippet (a second extremely useful plugin) and added a new snippet of code which alters directory search on your site. I think the results are exactly what you are looking for.
Give it a test and let me know.
ps. Query Monitor is reporting that Sabai quite a few errors. Mostly warnings and notices which is many cases are the worsts things that can be reported but several are stating that files can not be opened. You might want to report that to their support.
