    @ Gentry

I just posted a private reply. I’m actually unsure if you will be able to see it or not. Let me know if you can not.

My suggestion is to follow the guidelines in the CSV File Requirements and Tips section in the documentation. Closely following those points solved more than 99% of any trouble importing a CSV file.

If you reply back and attach the CSV file you are trying to import, I’ll take a look and offer specific advice. Please rename it from .csv to .txt before attaching so the support forum will accept the file.

I guess my first question would be how do you plan on supporting those languages for post and pages on the site.

Yes, within the brackets. Order does not matter. Make sure there is a space before and after.

    @ Mieke

Yes, you would use both a membership plugin and Connections.

re: hope you aren’t cringing to see my name again so soon…!

lol, not at all. I like little challenges.

re: Is this doable? If it requires further customization, please let me know what you think the quote would be.

In short, yes and yes it requires further customization. Sometimes I need to do it in order to figure out how… if that makes any sense… so..

I made the changes that I believe accomplishes what you need. Take a look.

The change to the “Buyer’s Guide Classification” permalink was accomplished with a filter added to your custom Connections plugin. The thing that is important to remember about this tweak, it is dependent on the category ID and the page of of the “Buyer’s Guide” page, so it is not portable. If you move this plugin you would either have to disable the filter or change the ID/s accordingly.

To hide the “Home” in the breadcrumb. The quickest easiest method I could think of was hiding it with CSS. The problem was there was not enough HTML markup available to select just the home link and separator. So, I edited the core Connections plugin to add this required HTML, some spans and classes. Then I added to the theme’s styles.css file via the theme style editor the required CSS to hide it. This change will make it in the next Connections update so it will be safe to upgrade without losing this tweak.

As for a quote/invoice, we can take that discussion via email.

Add the following to the shortcode:

    placeholder_zip="Zip"

    That should do it.

    @ Sabine

I took a look… my best guess is during the initial import of the CSV file the postal code column was not mapped correctly or not mapped at all and not imported.

I did a test of your file, only importing the first entry (1North Group) and it did import without issue. I left this duplicate entry as “unlisted” so you can see that the postal code was imported. YOu can safely delete this duplicate.

Likely the quickest and easiest solution to resolve this is to Navigate to the Connections : Tools admin page and click the Export tab. Scroll to the bottom and use the All export tool.

Open the resulting file, add the postal codes and then reimport the file. Doing this will update the existing entries with the postal code.

Tested this process with 1North Group and it worked fine. During mapping stage, let the CSV Import do the auto-mapping of the fields, do not change them.

    Hope this helps!

re: looking to have a very simple Category Filter at the top of the results so people can look for ‘Health’ etc. Does this function exist already or do I need to make a purchase to make this happen?

All of the premium templates enable filter by category. They all feature keyword search and filter by category. Some do have these disabled by default due to their design focus by can easily be enabled.
