Oh my… Look what I found in the Maps Marker changelog for version 3.12 released on 3/25/2014:
https://www.mapsmarker.com/docs/changelog/free/
“improved option “Deregister Google Maps API scripts enqueued by third parties” to prevent re-enqueuing of scripts by also deregistering them”
This option when enabled, if I read it correctly, actually deregisters the scripts the template requires to run when enabled.
This option appears to be off by default. I suggest turning it back off since there was no conflict prior to their latest update.
Their setting can be found on their plugin settings page. Search for “Deregister Google Maps API scripts enqueued by third parties”
Hope this helps!

The family entry options and the family relation options drop downs are cached as HTML fragments to greatly improve performance… Add all the Say What? you want and then add an entry of any type with any info, just a name will do. After you add the entry the cache is invalidated and the options will be rebuilt on next page load showing the Say What? changes.

Please contact me using the Contact link at the very bottom of the page for a quote. I can not put this in the support forum. Thanks for you understanding.

re: List not alphabetical?
The list renders alphabetical by last name (if entry is an individual) or organization name (if the entry is an organization) by default. This only changes if you’ve used the order_by shortcode option to change the default.
re: [connections list_type='category'] —> not working as intended
Yes, I would assume it would not because
categoryis not a valid option. The list_type shortcode option support onlyindividual, organizationandfamilyas options which relate to the three different entry types which can be added.re: What we would like is a category list that links to the volunteers within that category.
Any of the premium templates have a method to filter the list by category. I’m guessing the Enhanced Categories extension has the solution you are looking for.
Hope I have answered your questions thoroughly!

Sounds like the plugin wiped all custom roles and capabilities. WP saves this permanently in the database so when the change is made, it’s permanent (meaning uninstalling a plugin which makes such a change will not undo the change).
This FAQ has steps which will reset the core Connections roles/capabilities.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for reminding me again about the typo … I’m going to fix the original code snippet too. Right now, so I do not forget again.

Ok, I think we’re on the same page now. The published directory requires a login, can you please give me one? Screenshots help, being able to see the HTML code of the page is even more helpful (to me).
If possible could you put up the code in pastebin or in a shared dropbox folder or even email it to me. I really have too se what was done in order to give the solution. Thanks!

Ok, I located and corrected the regression. I’m going to try to push out an outdate today, version 8.6.2.
Apologies for the trouble!

re: There is only one address type for each user, I am pretty sure it was there recently but maybe the upgrade altered the default behavior?
It possible because the code in 8.6 for addresses has been rewritten from scratch making it more modern, flexible and maintainable. If there was a change of behavior that was/is unintentional. I spent a lot of time testing to make sure it work the same way.
That said… I’ll look into this right now and see if I can fix this regression. I’ll reply back soon.
