    @ John

I didn’t fix it, but it works now…

The page was actually loading fine, there was a fatal javascript error occurring which preventing the page preview and the Customizer from running.

It was not Connections, but the Connections Widget Pack. Specifically, I tracked it down to the code which registers the Connections Widgets Sidebar.

As soon as I remove the code, which is standard code WordPress code, nothing “funcky”, the page loaded fine.

So to hopefully track down the issue I let the sidebar be registered.

I wondered what would happen if I added a random widget to the sidebar. Success it worked. So I remove the widget, and, now it works without a widget it it too.

At this point I really have no clue why this happened. The only thing I know is the error was in the part of the core WordPress code removing “abandoned” widgets registrations (widgets added to a sidebar). “Abandoned” means, in this case, removing widgets which no longer exist (as would happen when deactivating a plugin which had widgets and its widget were active on a sidebar) assigned to an existing sidebar.

I can only guess at this point something was saved to WordPress which which triggered the error when the Widget Pack was activate.

If this happens again, please let me know. I would love to dig deeper into exactly what was happening.

    @ Elizabeth

This is a WordPress error, not a Connections error. WordPress is unable to download the update. Or it is, but is unable to save it without corruption.

You can manually update by deactivating and deleting the existing version. Then reinstall it as you origina did. Your data and settings are safe. YOu can find you downloads on your purchase history page under the Downloads tab.

Hope this helps, let me know.

    @ Joey

This is because you have uploaded the logo as the image/photo which displays in the bio content tray. You need to upload the logo using the logo field when add/editing an entry.

So you do not have to reupload…

You can swap the display of the logo and photo, Use this shortcode:

    [connections image='photo' tray_image='logo']

Hope this helps, let me know.

The notifications are only sent if the changes are made on the site’s frontend using Form. Notifications will not best when making changes using the Link admin profile page.

Also, double check that the user roles you expect to moderate only have the Add Moderated and Edit Moderated capabilities. If they have Add or Edit capabilities the add/edit will not be routed to the moderation queue and no notifications will be sent.

If you are testing as and ormin or other user which has the Ad and/or Edit capabilities, you will not receive notifications, because, you, as the admin know about the add/edit because you have performed them. I mention this because several times in the past users were testing as admin expecting notifications. You need to test has a user with the correct capabilities assigned.

    I hope this helps!

Notification can be setup for add/edits made using Form on the Site’s frontend. Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Form tab. Scroll down and configure the notification you would like to receive.

    Hope this helps!

    @ Don

Navigate to the WordPress Permalinks settings admin page. Remove index.php from the permalink structure and save the change. Now you will be compatible with Connections and greatly improve the SEO of your sites links.

    Hope this helps.
