What is the exact shortcode on the page. Make sure you switch to the Text tab when working with shortcodes (for any plugin, not just Connections). If there is any hidden HTML within the shortcode, it will become visible in the Text tab, please remove it.

Yes, it is… disable the Submit New Entry list action you enabled in the settings for Form. Then follow the configuration instructions for Link.

Sure… If I am understanding correctly.

Deactivate the Link extension, it’s not needed for your use case. You then need to enable the “Submit New Entry” option. for Form. If you enabled the require login to view the directory, you’ll need to disable it so site visitors can see the directory, but set all your entries to private.

Users will still need to be logged in to view the directory contents but anyone will be able to submit info to the directory, moderated.

Is that, that you are trying to accomplish?

Can you please share a link to your directory page so I can take a look? Without being able to see it and the review the page source, I can only throw guesses out. If it is private, just click the “Set as private reply” option before submitting.
