    @ Beverly

My best guess at the moment the issue is the shortcode are not correct. Connections does read and rewrite the shortcode correcting the most common mistakes so if you are seeing =0 inserted after connections shooting is not correct. You final shortcode should resemble something very similar to the example in my previous answer.

What are the exact shortcodes used on both pages?

When you edit shortcode, for any plugin, it is best to first click on the Text tab on the WordPress editor.

Apologies for the confusion! It stems from core WordPress terminology. The “custom field” you added is different from the “Custom Fields” metabox (with the drop down). I’ll try to explain…

Take a look at your add WordPress Page/Post, you will also find the “Custom Fields” metabox… and, very likely, you’ll have custom fields added by the theme and other plugins. The custom field you added following the tutorial adds new custom fields like the theme and plugins added fields to the add page/post.

    So…

The custom field you added following the tutorial will display as its own metabox as its own input just as they do when the theme or plugin adds a custom field to the WordPress page/post page. It will not display in the drop down.

I hope this makes sense! Please let me know.

ps. If the field does not show as a new metabox, then there must be an error in the code to add the custom field.

Hmmm, I have two suggestions. You could disable the category drop down in cMap and use the Enhanced Categories extension. Or, have a custom template developed to meet you exact needs. I do offer custom development services if you are interested.

I’ll need a temp admin login so I can take a closer look. The details can be posted here as a private reply.

Sorry, but the URL is created from the name. What you can do, is copy the entry as I suggested, change the name to create the URL you want, then edit then entry and change the name as you want it displayed.

For example, copy the “Crystal Healing With Brandy – Brandy Thomas, MS, CCH” entry, change the name to “Crystal Healing” (or whatever you wish the URL to be) and save it. The edit the new entry and then change the name back to “Crystal Healing With Brandy – Brandy Thomas, MS, CCH”. A little convoluted but most have no need to edit permalinks.

    Hope that helps!

Shortcode looks fine though I recommend the category shortcode option over the category_name shortcode option because category names can be changed thus breaking the shortcode. Category IDs can not be changed regardless of changing its name/parent/description.

    [connections category_name="Car Wash & Fueling Locations" show_alphahead='TRUE' show_alphaindex='TRUE' image="none" image_fallback="none" enable_category_select='FALSE' str_home_phone=' ' contact_name_format="%first% %last%" addr_format="Address%line1% %line2% %line3% %city%, %state% %zipcode%" phone_format="%label%%separator% %number%" str_home_fax=" FAX #" str_cell_phone=' ' str_work_phone=" PAX #" str_work_fax=" TTY #" str_personal_email="Email" str_work_email="Email" enable_pagination='TRUE']

The shortcode looks fine, but it does not appear to be on the “bad” page … as it is blank. Can you double check to make sure that the shortcode exists on the page?

The only way to change the URL is to Copy it (use the Copy action shown when you hover over the entry name on the Manage admin page). Change the entry name and save it. You can then delete the original.

Hope this helps. Let me know.

Yes, search and category filtering is included in all of the templates and all the templates are included in the Pro Pack.

Hope I have fully answered your question. Let me know.

    Looks like we cross posted…

I see the option is now enabled, but turning off a couple off the other options was bad as well.

Turn the CSS and JavaScript options back on, leave the jQuery and templates options off.

These are the default states of these options.

Apologies for the confusion but I asked to re-enable (by checking it) the Google Maps API, not leave it disabled (left unchecked).

Please add a check to the Google Maps API option and save the settings.
