RE: my members will be organised using another plugin
Maybe I am not understanding… but if you are using another plugin for your members, you’ll need either that feature from that plugin or an addon for that plugin to allow your to setup forms to allow users to submit themselves to that other plugin.
Connections can not be used to submit data to other plugins, sorry.

KeymasterRE: after installing it and set it to Suppress Results it doesn’t seem to show any different than it did before. Still shows all results by default.
If you are using the Enfold Layout Builder, it might not work. I do not know because I have not tested. It should work fine in the new WP Block Editor and the WP Classic Editor.
You may have to switch the page to the WP Editor for this page.
RE: Everytime you change the category it refreshes the page and you have to scroll back down. Is that the only way it can work?
Yes, this is how standard form submissions work and is not unique to Connections, it is a basic web standard. The scrolling down bit, there is nothing I can not really do about that, the page header is a large.
Hope this helps!

Yes this is possible with the Enhanced Categories extension.
If you opt to use this addon, you’ll want to disable the category drop down feature in cMap and use the category list before the directory feature in Enhanced Categories so they do not conflict.
Hope this helps! Let me know.

Create a column for the logos, the column header name is not all that important since you’ll be mapping it. That said, I suggest
Logo URLbecause I think (off the top of my head) that will auto map to the logo field in Connections so you do not need to manually map it during the mapping step when importing. The value of the logo field in the CSV file has to be a fully qualified publicly accessible URL to the logo.
For example:
You would do exactly the same for the entry photo.
Hope this helps, let me know.

Yes, this is possible but requires editing the template’s PHP code and adding some custom CSS so the field shows inline instead of on a new line.
If you are familiar with editing PHP and CSS, here’s the links to the dev docs that should help get you started.
If you are not familiar with editing PHP/CSS, I do provide custom development services.
Hope this helps, let me know.

This seems to indicates a PHP failure. To start resolving this do:
If neither of those work, try:
Visit the edit entry admin page and then review the log. Let me know if there are any reported errors and what they are.
Hope this helps!

Sorry, this feature is not available. It just is not that highly requested. The directory pages on a site are generally some of the highest visited pages. Many users over the years have confirmed this. In my personal experience on smaller directory sites which do have reviews features, page after after page are empty giving the appearance of little to no social user interaction which gives the user the impression no one is visiting or making use of the directory. So there is little no value add for adding the feature especially when having to deal with spam and fake reviews is taken into consideration.

KeymasterYou could try the solution presented in this dev doc:
Hope this helps, let me know.

What I’;ve done is updated the the “Working with Shortcodes” page to include the tip in my last reply:
I wrapped sections in an accordion so it does not feel instantly overwhelming when you land on the page.
fyi…
Your support is being upgraded!
You can now log into your account and submit support tickets instead of using this forum:
Sometime in the near future the forums will go into read only mode and then eventually completely shut down.

Ahhh… an older theme. This issue does not come up that often anymore, but being an older theme makes sense. Around that time it was very common for theme’s to load their own version of jQuery instead of version that comes with WP. Which is what prompted me to add such an option. Theme and Plugin devs have gotten much better since those times :)
If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference.
