Ok, It looks like you might be using the Slim Plus template… add str_note_head="Representatives" to the existing shortcode [connections] shortcode on that page.

Edit your page and remove the Enhanced Categories shortcode. (I’m guessing that is what you’re using to display the categories).

Now, add the Connections shortcode as described in the Quick Start tutorial.

Save you page.

Next navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Display tab. Configure the settings for Enhanced Categories as desired.

I would recommend that you disable the category filter in the cMap template since you seem to be planning on using Enhanced categories.

Yes, but requires coding to add them. There are related developer docs found on the documentation page.

Yes, simply do not add a city and state when adding an address for an entry. They will not be displayed because they will be nothing to display. As for the data entry form, you can turn off several of the address fields, but the city and state fields are not among them. If you must enter city and state info into your entries, all the templates include a way to configure which fields will be displayed.

Ok, adding the screen option for which thumbnail should be displayed was a bit of a black hole. I had to touch some pretty old code that was a little ugly. So I had to spend some time modernizing the bits I touched. I could not have and rigged it instead, but that felt wrong ;)

Any way, I am finished and plan on packaging for release by end of day tomorrow.

I sounds like Connections would be a good fit. I would recommend the cMap template which enables the category filter and keyword search of many fields (found in the settings). I would also recommend the Extension Pro Pack since you would like the user to maintain their own entry. This would require the Link extension and, optionally the Form extension. Both which are included in the Extension Pro Pack.
