RE: Do you have such a template?
I guess that depends on what you consider informal. Here is the link to all premium templates. Maybe one of those will do?
RE: can we use it for that list while keeping what we have for the others?
Yes, you can use a different template on a different page.
Hope this helps!

The next
xdown, that is one of the warnings/errors listed in the test results. That one is ok. It just needs to say that 11 hards were found. Google’s test is strict in its results and even though those items are required or suggested, Google will still happily parse that data and index it.I think the biggest issue was that you can not have an hEntry with nested hCards. That is corrected by removing the class I mentioned that needed to be deleted.
Hope that helps!
ps. Make sure you still check your Google Webmaster Console for errors and to make sure the directory page is being crawled by the bot.

Sorry, but there is not a way to create custom no results page.

What is the exact shortcode you are using?
Is the test site a local site oor one of an actual server?

The link is just a link, there are no conditions on whether it should display or not based on the visiting device. Nearly 100% of the time this type of issue is related to caching. If you are running a page caching plugin, do not cache pages for logged in users. Same for if you are using server page caching or if the theme is caching pages.
Hope this helps!
