You could add this particular code to using the Code Snippets plugin. That way you do not have to edit the plugin directly and if it does not work you can deactivate it.

The meta key name is not correct in the card-single.php file. You have language when it should be Language (at least according to how you’ve registered the field).

This is exactly what can be done with Category Homepage addon. Have you installed it? Have you edited the categories and chose the page they should link to?

Ok, have you made sure the custom template files are being used? I do this by adding some simple static HTML that I can see immediately on the page. Something like <p>LOADED</p>.

It looks like you are using Elementor. Is that correct? If you are, use the Elementor Shortcode widget and add [ez-toc] to the widget. According to another user that method works with Elementor.
