It does not display anything in fact. This only allows you to choose a page which a category link should resolve to filtered by the selected category. I think that filtered bit is the part that is not making it work the way you need. I now think this addon is close but not exactly what you need. I think a simple change is all that is required to tweak it to meet you needs. I’d be willing to log in to your site real quick and make the change to find out :)

I think I perhaps was not understanding correctly the desired results. I think the perhaps the simplest solution is going to be the easiest.

On your recreation landing page, instead of using the links for the Connections categories using the shortcode you manually link to the correct pages. eg. add “Martial”, highlight it in the edit and click the link button and choose the base text page. You will then be able to use the featured/free shortcodes without the page being filtered by a category.

The downside is that you will have to maintain these links manually which might not be a huge issue if the categories will mostly remain static.

It does look like you may have already thought of this based on the “Recreation Categories” section on the pages.

Yes, the various addons in the Pro Pack can be utilized on separate sites. If you do not need all the items in the Pro Pack, you could opt for the Extension Pro Pack instead. It does cost less so approval may be easier to secure.

That element is created by the Chosen library which is used to enhance select drop downs so width value is calculated and generated on creation. There is not a way for me to add the !important flag. If you can share a link to the affected page I can probably determine the conflicting CSS and give you a CSS override to correct it.

If you use the Search widget included in the Widget Pack the Default template will work correctly with it. That said, I would recommend the cMap template instead (the Searhc widget also works with cMap if you want to use both).

If they are text field, yes. All you need to do after you add the fields is navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Search tab. You will find your newly added text field as search options. Enable them to have search query those fields. I would recommend keeping the number of field to a minimum as to keep the results as relevant as possible for your users.

Yes, the Search widget can be placed in any widget area that the theme supports.

While testing, make sure you have page caching disabled. I suspect as you make changes, you are not seeing the results because and old cached version is being served.

The advanced search, the first/last name is a single search field. There is a zip code search which not only searches by zip but limits the results to a defined radius from the user defined zip. There is not a city field because that is a little redundant with the zip/radius search.

You could, yes, if it does meet your requirements.

It would not work as is with your changes. It actually has its own display method in the template which requires no coding change to the template. You would enable it display in the Content Block settings options on the Connections : Settings admin page. The placement location would be different and not where you specifically want it (if that matters to you and if it does, it is possible to use code to output in the template where you do).

I’ve attached the POT file but it seems most of the plugin is not translation ready so there really is very little in the POT file. Interesting, all these years this has not come up and I did not notice. I’ll have to put some effort into this and release an update. Unfortunately I can not comment as to how soon I can get this corrected.

It just last last week came to light that there are specific circumstances which may cause email to not be sent. If your directory does not require login to view and the email address is “Public”, the email should send just fine. I feel this is a bug in the core Connections plugin (at this point). I’ll push out an update late this week or mid next week to either Connections or Anniversary and Birthday Email which will correct this.

fyi, a Connections update is being release today. This update will not address this bug.

Also, the Anniversary and Birthday Email will exhibit the same Reply-To header issue that Contact did. I’ll release an update which sets the Reply-To header. Probably next week as this week is getting full.
