The latest versions of Connections has a completely revamped templating system. Although every effort was made to provide backward compatibility there was one regression. The older version of the templates can not be used on the page more than once. To regain that functionality, you’ll have to upgrade cMap to the latest version. It is a free update that can downloaded from your Purchase History. Please see the updated template installation instructions and special upgrade instructions.
Right now there are two way to “edit” the slug. The simplest is to copy and beforesaving the copy, delete the original. Then save the copy. Or you have to edit it in the db using phpMyAdmin or similar tool.
Sorry, nothing out of the box. The closest would be to enable a beta feature in any of the premium templates that have a drop down for category selection to allow multiple category selection.
