All you need to do is go to the Connections : Templates admin page and activate the template you want to use. Doing this tell Connections which of the installed templates you want to use when showing the directory.

What was the issue?

The issue is being caused by the theme, see this FAQ. The updated instructions should fix the issue.

Please see this FAQ. The solution that applies is the removal of the pre and code tags from around the Connections shortcode. That should fix it up.

First, you should upgrade Connections to 0.7.6.6.
The category drop down is being redirected to the “blog” home page by WordPress. This is a known WordPress issue/feature called canonical redirect. I’ve implemented a work-around in version 0.7.6.4, one version newer than you have installed.
Installing the new version will fix this. However, the category and search will occur on the homepage and not the directory home page. This is by design which allows multiple directories be run on the same site separated by categories. So what you’ll want to do is disable the category select and search. You can do this by adding the following two options to the shortcode:
enable_search=FALSE
enable_category_select=TRUEHope that helps.

It appears that you have redirects setup or WordPress is redirecting for you through a process known as canonical redirect.
Performing this Search to get results from your site:
site:www.morgan-equester.com “Classic Showjumps”Clicking either of the top two results returns “Status Code:301 Moved Permanently” and then is redirected to your home page.
This isn’t Google or Connections doing this. I hope that helps.

Assuming “Classic Showjumps” is you site site and homepage, you actually want your home page listed and linked to. Regardless, Connections has no control when, where or how Google list results in its index. That is completely up to Google and their secret sauce, sorry.

1.) All the current premium templates, excerpt Market, should work fine in a responsive theme as they were tested in Twenty Twelve at various screen sizes.
2.) The search widget in the Widget Pack will yield results on from Connections.
3.) No template at the moment have this layout, however, the Widget Pack does have a widget that just outputs a list if categories at are clickable.
I hope that helps.
