Hmmm, I just tested it and it does work like I thought it would for me. What’s the exact shortcode you’re using?

Ahhh, that would make sense. It’s good the other plugin author was able to fix because there’s nothing I could have done as I am purposely adding the same url endpoint in two menu locations

Ok, I figured it out. It ended up not being a bug in Connections at all. Something removed the default capability for viewing public in all the roles. The solution ended up being as simple as resetting the role capabilities and then change the capability settings back to what you had set.
In my testing, this seems to have resolved the duplication issue. I’m going to mark this resolved for now, please let me know if you have any further issues with this.

What version of Connections do you have installed? One of the versions there was an encoding bug which has since been corrected. If you have the latest installed, can you give me a few names that I can test with so I can track down the issue?
Search, again, which version do you have installed? If you have he latest version installed, do you have all the option enabled on the Connections : Settings admin page under the SEO tab?

The problem with search just two characters is that by default mysql will not search for words 4 characters or less {maybe it’s three characters], so even adding it to the notes will likely not have an effect on results. A couple suggestions…
On the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab there is a Links section, enable the Region option. With that enabled, the states in the addresses will not be clickable and when clicked on the list will be filtered by that state.
Another option would be to add a new text widget to the sidebar. Add links for each of the states. Something like this:
http://domain.tld/directory/region/state
I hope that helps.

I haven’t tested it, but I can not think of a reason that it would not work. Try this shortcode and let me know how it goes.

Which version of the CSV Import are you using. I’d like to double check and make sure there is not a bug in the latest version.

Sorry, no Link does not send email notices when an entry edits an entry which send it back to the queue. The only way to have the entry stay view-able after a user edit is to not require moderation. If that is a workable solution, you can change that on the Connections : Roles admin page. For the user roles, change from Add Entry Moderated to the Add Entry option. And then do the same for the Edit Entry Moderated by changing it to the Edit Entry. Then click the Update button. Now when a user edit an entry it will not require moderation and will still be view-able.
I hope that helps!
