If you use the img tag, it’ll show as an image.
If you use the a tag it’ll show as a link.
If you wrap the image tag with the a tag it show the image and be a link.

I edited the plugin using the WordPress plugin editor to force Connections to reset the role capabilities.

I added this line:

cnRole::reset();

Right here.

I then clicked the update button. As that page reloads that command is run which mean the capabilities are reset.

Then all you have to do is remove that line and click update again. You do not want to leave that line there as resetting the capabilities when then happen on every page load.

Question … do you know hat brought about this error? Were you running an older version of Connections and this error occurred after you updated to the latest?

With this happening to Eric, yourself and one other … makes me wonder why is this happening all the sudden … something is deleting the capabilities Connections extends to the WordPress roles.

The only way to have multiple image is to add image links to either the bio or notes field. Since those two fields do support shortcodes, other users have used gallery plugins which use shortcodes to display galleries.

You can. use the following shortcode:

[connections show_social_media=true]

You might have to increase the tile size to accommodate. See this FAQ for the details on how to do it.

Quick question, are you using either the birthday or anniversary field for any of your entries? If not, maybe use one of those fields and then use the order_by shortcode option. It’s kind of hacky, but I do think it might work.

If it doesn’t, I’m not available for additional work at this time, but I do have someone I can recommend. I’ll point him to this forum post and ask him to reply.
