Thanks for the login, but can you also give the login URL? As a guess. I tried the site from your email domain, but that didn’t work.

Great to hear! Did you use the method outlined in the FAQ I linked to in my previous reply?

Are you using the
templateshortcode option? If you are, then remove it. That will override the settings that I gave in my previous reply.Steven Zahm

Go to the Connections : Templates admin page active the default template then reactivate the desired template. That should fix it. Connections does a bit of caching of the template paths. Toggling the template will refresh the template path.
That should fix it. If it does not, let me know.

Thanks and good point! I just updated the doc page to include basically the same info I just gave you.

It is working like it should, let me explain…
If randomization would occur on every page refresh for every user that would break pagination because even if a user flipped thru every page, they would not see every entry since on each page refresh the entries would be in a different position. The user would not be able to go back to a page and see the results they just had seen on that page. Additionally the user would see “duplicates” because of an entries changing position. This would be very confusing to the user, yes?
Instead, the randomization occur every hour on the hour (according to the time set on the server, not necessarily the time on your clock) for every user bases on IP address. As an example, lets say user A and user B both visit the site at the same time, they would both see the entries in a different random order for the remainder of the hour in which they visited. After that remainder of the hour has expired, they would both see a different random order.
Hope that makes sense!
You can test this by visiting the page on your smartphone. Make sure you are not connected via WIFI on your smartphone because that would very likely be the same IP address as your computer which would mean you would see the same random order on both devices.
Hope that helps!

Ok, I’m assuming it is crawling links vcard link that were already in its index. I would expect that those invalid URL/s will be removed from the index and no longer be crawled.

Yes, if you set the template the the Names template for the All template type and then go to the Connections : Settings admin page and enable the Single Entry template option under the Display tab. You can then control the active template for each entry type by activating your desired template under the corresponding template type on the Connections : Templates admin page. Hope that makes sense.
