The edit I’m making are to two files:

• ../wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.retrieve.php
• ../wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/shortcode/shortcode.php

In the class.retrieve.php file I’m going to add the capability for users with the Edit Moderated capability to query approved and pending entries. Currently they are only permitted to query approved entries. In order for users to edit their entry while in the moderation queue, they need to be able to query pending entries.

In the class.shortcode.php file, I’m changing the query args to include pending. I’m also adding a message stating that their entry is being held for moderation but they can can make additional changes.

Really the two tweaks are very minor. Much simply to fix than I was originally thinking.

See this QuickTip. It explains how this can be down to any string within the core Connections plugin. Using this method will change it in both the template an in the drop down in the admin.

Good to hear you figure out the translation issue. If I may, what was the issue?

As for limiting the character input of those fields, sorry, but this is not possible.

It appears the Table Format template has been altered and now contains a fatal PHP error which is causing the PHP to stop processing the page.

My suggestion is to revert the changes or switch back to the Default Entry Card template.

Sorry, no Link does not import data from user profiles. I do plan at some point adding such a feature because it asked for every now and again. For most though, it would not be a useful feature because user profiles only require a username and email address. Without a first and last name, it could not be imported.

You can use s2member to do a redirect on login to the {domain.tld}/wp-admin/users.php?page=connections_link page for the user to add their entry.
