Can you please share a link to the pages where the search is not functioning?

I see in the shortcode that you are limiting the results to entries to those only in category 2 … when you test searching, you are searching only for entries that are assigned to category 2, correct? I ask because only entries assigned to category 2 will be searched for.

The view more link, so to speak … click on the entry name, that links to the single entry view in cMap. This does not exist for Slim Plus though.

When the show all categories option is selected, Connections will search all categories. It is only when you switch categories will the search be limited to that category.

The only way this would be limited, would be if it was configured to work different with the shortcode.

What is the exact shortcode you are using? My guess there is a setting being used to limit the display to the artists.

cMap, each entry does have it own map but not a map with all entries on it. Sorry, but there is not a template with this feature.

The template was a really older version, I updated to the latest version. The default blue color was hard to read on your site so I changed it to a green color used throughout the site.

You can change this to any color you want by adjusting it with the color shortcode option enabled by the Slim template. Here’s what the shortcode looks like now:

[connections category_name='Member,Regular Attender' color='#ccff33']

You’ll have to update the Market template on that site and use the pagination_position shortcode option to tell Market where to place the pagination control. Like so:

[connections pagination_position='after']

or

[connections pagination_position='both']

First time I’ve heard of an issue like this. Could I get a temp admin account so I can take a look? The details can be sent using the contact link at the bottom of the page.

Those are unique per entry, there is not a way to make it static, the same for all new entries. The only items “carried over” are the names that were entered which can be selected from the drop down. This is exactly how it works with the core WordPress custom fields too.

Web hosts do apply updates to their infrastructure, so it would not really be out of nowhere, so to speak. My experience is hosts do not communicate these updates at all.

At any rate, if WordPress can not upload images due to permissions, Connections will not be able to either because it builds upon the same functions that WordPress uses. This includes the logic to update the images to the new paths.

I’m sure if WordPress can be fixed to allow uploading of image, then that will fix Connections too.

Let me know what you find out from your host.

I just visited the site… I see you’re using a really, really, old version of the cMap template … the original one in fact.

I highly suggest updating it to the latest version which you can download from your purchase history.

The way templates have been installed and updated has completely changed since the last time you installed cMap, be sure to carefully follow the installation instructions.
