Presently the only way to add more networks is to edit the Connections PHP files.

Here’s the file and location in the file:

Follow how the other were added.

You will also have to create the icon in several sizes and put them in the appropriate folder within this folder:

One thing you must take into consideration, since you would be editing the core PHP files you will have to redo this every time there is a Connections update.

Part of the problem is the !important flag you set with the custom CSS. First, I recommend changing the background per the instructions.

After you do that, you should be able to target the background of categories more easily.

You mean the organization field? Probably the easiest would to be to use CSS. The alternative would require writing your own function within the template. Here’s the CSS:

This actually requires several changes to the CSS and the template for the profile page. Coincidentally these changes already have been completed and will be included in the next update released for Circled.

I’ve made that change. It’ll be in the next bug fix release.

I’m going to assume you did this by just copying the card folder from the ../templates/ folder within the Connections plugin folder…

Create a new file named card.css and put it is the same folder as the card-default.php file. Connections will enqueue the CSS file automatically with the template is registered.

What do you wish to control? Right now, the only things in the Connections core is the character index and the character group headers which output before the loop of the card and only if that is enabled in the settings.

If you asking how you can add content before and after the card loop, yes, but you need to hook in to the cn_action_entry_before and cn_action_entry_after actions.

This is an CSS issue. Add the following to the theme’s custom CSS area:

}

re: I’d like to change the label
There is not a shortcode to change this label. However, if you added the the code for the link block and included the 'format' => $atts['link_format'] option you can remove the label completely with the shortcode that way you can have the link title anything you want. Here’s and enable shortcode:

[connections link_format='%title%']

Now, only what you enter as the link title will be displayed.

I think you might have it backwards… If you can let me know how the directions in the QuickTip was not clear, I will fix that.

card.php is the file you need to copy and change. The slug is the template slug which can be found on the Connections : Templates admin page. It is that slug that you should use for the folder name. That said, any of the following paths should work:

../wp-content/theme/mystile-child/connections-templates/gridder/
../wp-content/theme/mystile/connections-templates/gridder/
../wp-content/uploads/connections-templates/gridder/

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll add this to the plugin conflicts. For background, this issue is usually caused by the Google Maps API being loaded on the page twice. cMap will load it only on its page in the footer. Mapping plugins should do the same, but some load it on every page regardless if there is a map or not. This of course causes it to be loaded on the cMap page twice which can break things. Often cMap is blamed for not working when if fact it is the non-optimal design of the map plugin.

Clicking the “Copy” action link of the entry you want to duplicate will do that.

It’s a CSS conflict. I have a style which is overriding the style in WPML which is intended to hide the dummy text it adds to email addresses.

Add the following CSS to the theme’s custom CSS area:

#cn-list .vcard span.wpml-nodis {
  display: none;
}

This should ensure that the dummy text is hidden as intended by WPML. I’ve also added this tweak to the CSS in Connections so it’ll be included in the next bugfix release.
