Well actually. This summer without a doubt… I need to get it released. Here’s a link a demo of my current working version (depending on when you visit it may or may not be working due to me working on it):
http://sandbox.connections-pro.com/geo-prototype/
One item to notice as you visit… the browser will ask permission to use your location. If you accept, Locate will use it to show the entries within the area you are located. If you deny permission, it fallback to geo-locating your IP address and show you local entries based on that. Nowhere near as accurate but for most users it’ll be in the ballpark, so to speak.
Another feature of note, when you start typing an address or zipcode to search, it’ll autocomplete.
Write now it has no settings other than a few shortcode options (3)… I’m contemplating finishing up the mapinfo bubble with entry details and a get directions action and releasing it as is adding features as they are asked for.

re: Can I add my own filed in Forms? I need to have it both in Forms and then in admin.
In short, yes. Many of the free extension do exactly that:
- http://connections-pro.com/add-on/education-level/
- http://connections-pro.com/add-on/hours/
- http://connections-pro.com/add-on/income-level/
- http://connections-pro.com/add-on/languages/
There is no click and play interface to add them though. If you know PHP, inspecting the code of the plugins listed above explains how to do it. If you do not, I do provide custom development solutions.
re: is it able to show any of this fileds in “show more /bio” in cMap? (I dont want everything in the first visual card)
This too is possible but would require adding the correct PHP to those sections in the template’s
card.phpfile.Hope that answers your questions thoroughly.

First, Connections would not have any meaningful impact of the sites loading performance outside of the directory page. User manage directories literally in the hundreds of thousands quite successfully.
As for a CSV export, the best way to migrate the data from one site to another is o use phpMyAdmin and export the
{prefix_}connectionstable from the source and import them into the destination using phpMyAdmin. You would also have to copy the `../wp-content/uploads/connections-images/ from the source site to the destination site.To answer your question specifically… sorry though is not CSV export from within the admin. This is planned to be included this summer sometime but it’ll have limitations that really would not make it a suitable method for migrating data site to site. his would not be an artificial limitation… The Connections db tables are relational which is not something that can be replicated in a flat CSV file.
Hope that answers your question thoroughly.

That function was deprecated some time ago and remove a year or so afterward. You should use this in the template instead:
$entry->vcard( array( 'before' => '<span>', 'after' => '</span>' ) );Hope that helps!

Let’s see…
re: Can users search listing (specifically with CMap template) by zip code?
Sorry, no.
re: Is there an option to show listing within X radius of user?
Sorry, not yet. I plan on releasing a new extension this summer which does exactly this. More here: http://connections-pro.com/support/topic/map-view/#post-333908
re: Do you support featured listings?
Sorry, again, not presently it is on the to do list but I can not give an eta at this point.
If you are looking for these feature now, sorry, but you’ll have to use one of the other options available. I will have these other features in time. How much time, I can not really say…
To give you an idea of what can be done… Another user has contracted to build a custom solution.
Gravity Forms is used to create a custom form for a user to select a membership level. Based on the choice, the user could add specific details including limiting the number of categories they may choose to be listed.
When a user submitted the form, they could chose to pay by PayPal or by Check.
At the same time, the user is sent an account verification email. After the user clicks the verification link, the data they submitted via the Gravity Form is used to create a new user account in WP and a new Connections entry and the two are linked so the user can also maintain their entry using a separate custom Gravity Form.
This data is also fed into Restricted Content Pro (RCP) to create a new membership. The status of this membership is used to determine if the entry is listed or not. RCP is also used to process membership renewals and email notifications about pending expirations and other related emails.
They were already using another plugin to handle access to certain pages when a user was logged in. This is something RCP could be used for but to prevent from having to rework that, this data is also used to add the new user to the correct group in that plugin.
This may sound all complex and add the code level is kind of is but from an admin level, they simply manage their users from RCP everything else is pretty much self managing.
This solution gave them a level of flexibility not attainable by any other plugin even those that offer some of this as builtin features.

Yes, for a setup fee I can install and setup Connections for you. Can you let me know more about how you want it setup so I can quote your a setup fee?

p.login-username,
p.login-password,
p.login-submit {
display: inline-block;
}p.login-remember {
display: none;
}Here’s the CSS. One thing to keep in mind… the HTML being output is the standard WordPress login form, so if you add it anywhere else on the site or another plugin also renders the login form that CSS will also affect it too which may not be desireable.
Hope that helps.
