The maps, neither are from Connections so you are actually asking the wrong person.

That said… the fault lies with the theme. It sets the max image width globally within the page contents to 100% which breaks the Google Maps.

If you add the following CSS to the theme’s custom CSS area:

.gm-style img {
    max-width: none !important;
}

That should fix it.

The only way you would get an URL like this is if you first navigated to a Connections category permalink and then used the category select. This use case will be addresses in a future update implementing something called canonical redirect. Some of the work is completed already but it needs more work.

Looking at your site… you users have no way to navigate the Connections categories by permalinks so they would never end up with an URL like this. So there is nothing to worry about at this time.

What is interesting is that when visiting http://sustainablefashiondirectory.com/directory/cat/designer/ the results should be displayed, so, something is up… I would be willing to take a closer look, but I need a temp WP admin account. If you want me to take a look, you can post the login details here as a private reply.

This post seems to contain the same point as the email… if there was something else in the email that I missed, my apologies.

Colors… right now, the only option is to change all the test colors at once, there is not an option to change just the links or header colors. Based on your request though, I just added an option to change the name color on the card, the link color on the card and the link color in the content trays (bio/notes). These new options will be included in the next cMap update. Until then… the only way to really change the color us with some very specific custom CSS. I suggest waiting for the update to be released.

To change the bio header color, use the Template Customizer. While in the Strings panel, click the an entry name (any entry, does not matter which one) so you are viewing the single entry profile view of the template. The options in the Strings panel will change. One of them being able to change the bio header string. The card and the single entry are separately configurable in the Template Customizer… it’s one of the instructions right on the Customizer preview ;)

The add entry link will only be shown to the user roles which have the add/edit or the add/edit moderator capabilities on the Connections : Roles admin page.

I am assuming since you have different member groups, you set them up as different roles, right? If you did, then all you need to do is table away the add/edit entry capabilities on the roles for which you do not want the links to show.

If these groups have not been assigned different roles, then doing what you want is not possible. So the only option would be to assign the groups to separate roles to you can set their capabilities separately.

Yes, I submit the form via a get action. The query variable being set for the category search is cn-cat-in. The target page simple has the [connections] shortcode. the code that performs the query as builtin support for the query var. The cn-cat-in is an operation AND. You could use cn-cat instead to perform an optional OR search.

As you see, they are many query vars that can be utilized.

Well, best guess… the version of MySQL installed in the host is outdated. What version is installed? I ask because your local install must be a more recent version because it supports InnoDB and FULLTEXT. When Connections installs it creates its custom table based on the supported features of the MySQL it is being installed on for maximum efficiency. So, this is really a server config issue, not really a Connections bug or limitation. When pushing from a local (or server to server) the software stack should be setup to be similar as possible.

You have two options…

One, update MySQL on your production server. If it is update to date enable the InnoDB engine (which is by default on install, so it would have been disabled intentionally).

Two, on your local install… go to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the search tab and disable the FULLTEXT option. Then go to phpMyADmin on you local install and change the table engine from InnoDB to MyISAM (the default table engine in older versions of MySQL).
