Are you familiar with how to WordPress filters? If you are then it is possible but has a downside. The message being appended will be on all email that Connections sends, not just the Contact email? If that is fine, I can give you instructions on adding the filter needed to append the message.

The issue is that file encoding that Excel is applying to the file when the CSV is being exported. My suggestion, use either Google Spreadsheet or LibreOffice Calc to create the CSV file. Make sure to export the file with UTF8 encoding. If Excel has that option (I do not know) then you could try changing the file encoding to UTF8. Working with Excel to create CSV files can be hit or miss due to the system config of the PC that it is installed on. Whereas Google Spreadsheet or LibreOffice Calc “just work” as long as you set the encoding to UTF8.

The crop being applied to the images will be “Crop and resize proportionally to best fit the specified dimensions, maintaining the aspect ratio.” Meaning if you are uploading oversized images (larger than 280×220) then the image will be scaled down using the smaller dimension and then the larger dimension will be cropped based center of the image.

Those settings will not affect the images in the grid. The Large Image settings will affect the image displayed on the profile view of the template.

The profile view and the grid view margins are both limited to the theme’s page template style which includes margins or lack of. What theme are you using? Does it support different page templates? It sounds like the page that Connections has been inserted on the theme page template is a full width template. If the theme does have alternate page templates, try choosing a different one?

Edit the entry in the admin, and change the key name “spouse_first” to “Spouse First” and do the same for the other.

Ok, taking a second look at this and re-reading your question I better understand what you’re asking.

The bio excerpt should be disabled if the bio is disabled. That is a big which I just now fixed. I’ll email you the fixed version right away.

Displaying the phone, email and such is not supported on the excerpt view of the template. At this point there is no way to change this without it breaking compatibility. That said, version 3, this will be possible due to the way the Template Customizer works, it can save settings individually for both the card view (excerpt) and the profile view. I added this to my feature request list for the template so I do not forget when I rewrite the template.
