Great to hear! I assume you found the option in the Template Customizer, correct?

What is the exact shortcode you are using on that page?

Oh, I see. There is a display bug on mobile. This has been fixed and will the fix will be included in the next update that I’m going to try to push out tomorrow or next week at the latest.
I’m assuming you are suing the cMap template, correct? If you are when you configured the strings for the select make sure you configure both the default select string and the show all category string accordingly.
Apologies for the trouble.

This is an extension that I sell. You can see it in action on this site, the “Find A Therapist“.
The top 3 options are multiple category search filters. It can be configured to any number of parent categories or disabled. If you are interested, please contact me using the Contact link at the very bottom of the page. I can give you a quote which will include installation and configuration.
I hope I have answered your question thoroughly!

Yes, you can do this. What you would do is create all the parents and then create the student as a “Family” and then assign all the parents to the student.
As for display, something like what you describe would require a custom template. All templates simply link to the parent on the parent’s page their details are shown.
Hope this helps!

KeymasterI was able to get the file to import.
The import is done in batches of 100. Quite a while pack after testing on various web hosts I settled on this being a decent value for both shared hosts and more expensive hosts which give more server resources.
I was able to get the whole file to import by changing the value from 100 to 10 (this is a code change, not a setting). I also tried higher values than 10, but, those too, failed. This tells me it is a web host resource limit causing the imports to fail.
I see you have the PHP execution time limit and memory quite high. The thing is, you can actually set these values to anything you want, the host will “hard limit” these so you can not exceed whatever they set. My experience is most hosts do not disclose what exactly those hard limits are. I suspect that your web host has rather low hard limits which prevented even 20 at a time from importing without failing. Perhaps if you look into the PHP error log that might give some clue.
Anyway, I hope this helps!
ps. I left the code changed so it’ll only import 10 at a time.

re: Also, just FYI, it seems to be displaying “Select a Category on a desktop, but not on a mobile device. I am not sure if that adds a clue?
Hmmm… that sounds like the correct behavior to me. On mobile the enhance select drop down is not used in favor of the mobile native select drop down which is optimized for mobile use. So, I’m not sure what the issue is now since it seems to work correctly. Maybe I misunderstood the question?
