    @ Rhett

That’s a bug. It should display in columns. I’ll push out an update tomorrow that should fix it.

Do you have both a first and last name column and mapping those if importing individuals? OR mapping organization if importing organizations? Like outlined in the CSV file requirements? If they are not, that would cause nothing to be imported.

That sounds like it would work. Unless you have a specific layout desired for the categories, the Enhanced Category extension (which you have) has a shortcode that can be used to output the categories. Then you can achieve what you want with only two pages. One with the categories and the other with the directory which would only show the results of the categories that was clicked. Doing it this way, you would have to disable the category dropdown in tile Plus so things do not get confused.

    Hope that helps!

So, the goal is just to display the categories correct? If it is, you could use the [connections_categories] shortcode. Add it to a separate page from the directory home page.

    Does that help?

Yes, with the Link extension. Add a entry with the user’s email address when they login, they will be linked to the match email address in Connections and be able to edit that entry.

    Hope that helps!

Sounds like you added an Entry ID column and are mapping it on import. This is only for updating existing entries. Please try importing the CSV file without mapping the Entry ID column.

Hope this helps, let me know.

I do have an advanced search option available. You can see it in action on this site, the “Find A Therapist” section.

    https://sscit.org/

It support search by multiple categories, location and keyword.

This is beta but production ready. It’s live on several sites. If you are interested in this, I can provide a quote which includes installation and configuration. Use the contact link at the very bottom of the page to let me know if you are interested and I’ll reply back with the quote.

Many users do this by separating the directory based on category using the category shortcode option or combinations of category_in or exclude_category.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

re: But, we need it to display without “Biographical info” showing up. Same with “notes” where it shows ” Over $50,000,000″. is there a way to do this? Maybe with custom categories of some sort?

The simplest and most immediate way to hide the headers is with CSS. I cleaner way would to be to add a custom field where your client could simply check a box to select which logos show assuming these are “standard” set of logos.

re: they would also like to be able to click on certain companies and have a bio or card show up. They want to sell this as a premium option to their members. Is there a way to do that so only certain members have a link to more info, or is it an all or nothing situation?

This would be double with a custom template and and custom field which your client could simply enable when add/editing an entry.

If you are a PHP dev these would be fairly simple to implement. If you are not, I do provide custom developed solutions. If interested, use the contact link at the very bottom of the page and I can provide a quote.

    Hope this helps!

I know of nothing that gets you those exact specifications. Perhaps an advanced search option as shown on this live third party site. The “Find A Therapist” section :

    https://sscit.org/

This can be put on a separate page. It displays a drop down listing the categories, optionally broken into multiple drop downs based on category parent. When the drop down is clicked by the user, the user can search for specific categories.

This also allows one to search by zip and results ordered by nearest to farthest.

And of course a keyword search to search for keywords within the entry.

This can also be placed on the directory page itself, replacing the category drop down and keyword select of the existing template. This will allow a user to refine the search listing only the desired category(ies).

As for the display of the results, this is achievable too but would require a custom template built to suit.

If the advanced search suits you needs, I do install and configure this for a fee. If you are interested, let me know and I’ll proved a quote.

Same for the custom template. I do provide custom template solutions. If interested, let me know.

    Hope this helps!
