Have you done any recent updates to Connections? If so, which ones? What versions did you upgrade from?

Wow, that is pretty old. Connections requires at least 4.3, so, this is likely only the first of many such errors you’d get.

I guess my the only suggestion I can think of is trying installing and older version of Connections. The previous versions can be found on this page:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/connections/developers/

My best guess would be version 8.3.3.

https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/connections.8.3.3.zip

But since you already tried to install Connections, not sure if you’ll be able to install old versions. I never tried that.

When adding info to an entry, such as an address or email that you wish to keep private, set the visibility status of that item to “Private” leave the info that you wish to have public set as “Public”.

The visibility can be set for each item in the upper right of its section. See this screenshot of the Addresses metabox.

Hmmm… I logged in and imported the file just fine without issue (assuming the categories did not already exist as I did not check before the import). Are you certain you tried with my corrected file? I ask because it has happened many times where the incorrect file was being chosen for import — do it myself.

The order_by="id|SPECIFIED" only works with the id shortcode option, not the category shortcode option. See the examples on the order_by doc page.

The is not a way to display entries grouped by category, sorry.
