Since this is something I can not replicate, I honestly have no way to give you a solution. Some years ago I vaguely recall someone encountering a similar issue. I can not remember exactly the issue or solution, but I feel it may have had something do do with user role capabilities…

So, my best guess, navigate to the Connections Roles admin page and reset all role capabilities.

After you do that, follow the instructions in this FAQ

Now, adjust the Connections Role Capabilities as needed.

If that does not correct it, try removing all data from an entry, saving the changes and then going back in and adding the date to the entry.

Navigate to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customize button for cMap.

The page will reload with the Customizer on the left and preview on the right.

Click the back arrow in the upper left of the Customizer.

Click the Advanced tab.

Pu this in the Address format field:

%label% %line1% %line2% %line3% %state%, %city% %zipcode% %country%

Important, do not skip

Click an entry name in the preview. Any entry name, it does not matter which. The preview will reload, displaying the entry profile view of cMap.

Enter the address format again. The reason it needs to be done twice is that both the list view and detail view can be configured separately.

Publish the changes and exit the Customizer.

Sorry, this is not an option at this time. If the email is displayed, the user can use the email address to email the entry. Depending on the user’s local email app, they should be able to click on the link to email the entry directly from within their email app. Even some web based email provider such as Gmail work by clicking the email address.

Gridder does not have the Customize button, it uses shortcode options for customization. Here’s the link to the Gridder doc page which covers all the shortcode options you can use to customize it.

Yes, this can be accomplished by separating the directories by category(ies). Here’s a link to a FAQ which explains how to do this.

RE: map doesn’t work

Open the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab.

You’ll find this error from Google:

Google Maps JavaScript API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError

This basically mean the referrer restriction set for the Google maps API is not configured for your site. I suggest using the referrer from the tutorial. Google Maps API key changes can take a few minutes (or more) for a settings change, so, give it time between changes.

RE: When I went into WordPress this morning and looked at managing entries all three ‘V’s were visible. What would have changed from yesterday?

A plugin update, a settings change and more could change the memory being utilized by WP. So, if the memory usage is right near the edge of the limit, yes, it is possible to experience the issue one time and not another. So, at this point, my recommendation is still increasing the memory allocated to WP. Let me know how it goes.

Ok, I do believe this works as you need now. I also took liberty updating the custom fields code snippet so you should be able to update one or more of them without the others being deleted (unless the field exists in the CSV file and is empty, same for bio and notes).

Give it a some testing. Hope this helps!

I was in the middle of working on this when, I think, my temp admin account expired. Could you please reset the expiration? Right now, the CSV Import addon is in a broken state and will not function.

The Professions would have to be categories and the advanced search does have a region filter (state/province). So, ye, I believe it would suit your needs.

Great to hear this is resolved. I see you renewed CSV IMport, so I’m guessing it was out of date and updating fixed the issue.
