Hmmm… I’m confused… You should only receive 1 email with your license key. Are you perhaps referring to the PayPal confirmation which would include a transaction ID (not a license key since it is PayPal’s record of transition).

Any way to enter you license key, navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Licenses tab as you did initially. Copy/paste your license key into the field for cMap and click the activate button. That should be all.

Are you talking about the character index above the directory or the display style of the template? Display style, meaning, the card style of cMap versus the list style of Slim? If your talking about the display style, sorry no, cMap can not be displayed like Slim… that is kind of the main feature of templates, to change the display style of the directory.

Like i mentioned previously, if you want larger images in Slim, the only way to do that would be to edit its PHP and CSS files. The design is based on a fixed image size which is intentionally more of a thumbnail to keep things, well, slim.

My first guess is that the memory assigned to PHP is getting exhausted. Try increasing this. Here’s is a link to a blog post which explains how.

Different method work for each host. I suggest starting at the top and working your way down the list. I suggest 128MB.

RE: How do I force the connection links to refresh? We’ve been manually self-populating the content prior to release of the site and its possible that we didn’t do things in “proper” order – so that the linking needs to be forced. Is there a quick way to do that?

Sorry, there is no way to force a “link” at this time. The user has to login to the site. Something you can try… Install the User Switching plugin. It is a plugin which allows you to switch to another user on the Users admin page. If you have Link 3.1 installed, switching users with the User Switching plugin should cause the link to occur.

RE: I would love a way to add a link to the connections profile inside their bio information at the bottom of each of their blog posts. Is this possible? Is there a shortcode that can connect a user id to the connections listing?

Sorry, there’s not “out of the” box that can do this. Something custom developed could be made for you if you’re interested. Let me know and we can work out the specifics of the functionality and I can provide a fixed quote.

Sorry, no, not easily at all. The template was designed from the ground up to work in this fashion. The only easily doable solution I can think of is to add extra image border around the image before you upload it to the entry.

That is not the cMap template. That still looks like the Slim template. After you activate, for use, the cMap template on the Connections : Templates admin page you can then use the Template Customizer to change the image size to your desired image size.

If you activate the cMap template on the Connections : Templates admin page and it does not get used, then you very likely used the template shortcode option which will override the active template. If you used this option, remove it from the shortcode.

Ok, I took a look, the size is correct at 120x100px. As mentioned in my last reply the Slim Plus image requires a specific image size for its layout to stay intact so Connections will auto create the required image size on demand.

Larger images is possible but would require editing the template and it PHP and CSS files in order to accommodate the larger image.

Isee you’ve purchased the cMap template, that seems like a good fit for the site and its designed to allow for larger images. Will that work?

Are the authors linked to their Connections entries. Check on the Manage admin page. A linked entry will have the text “Linked to:” followed by the user name on the far right.

If they are not yet linked, no posts will display.

re where I’m expecting to see it. I found in the settings where I am enabling: custom fields, Education level, and latest posts. ALl three are checked. I’m not seeing the education level or the latest posts when listing a single listing

The Content Block in both Circled and Gridder will be displayed at the very bottom of the single entry view in both templates, after the map.

re: I added special code (as shown in your tutorial) to list my custom fields in the circled theme, so that piece is being displayed correctly.

Did you perhaps accidently remove code? This code needs to be in the card-single.php file or the Content Block can not be shown:

$entry->getContentBlock( $atts['content'], $atts, $template );
