There no need to use the disable real mime check plugin. Connections already properly deals with what that plugins is attempting to fix by disabling a security feature. The mime plugin I asked you to install is under consideration to be merge into WP core since it provide more robust file validation.

As for the file being renamed to .htm, that definitely sounds like another plugin or theme interfering with the file uploads. Deactivate all plugins except Connections, the mime plugin and then activate the default the WP theme and then try again.

Ok, deactivate all plugins except Connections, the mime plugin and then activate the default the WP theme and then try again. Perhaps another plugin or the theme is hooking into the WP file upload logic and causing it to flag the file so it can not be uploaded.

Nope, that’s not pertinent. Lots of users use WPE. The error you are receving is a WP error message, not one from Connections which is why I suggested installing the MIME type plugin:

What the security error? Try renaming the file from .csv to .txt`.

That’s a pretty old version you have running… you are going to have to update the old site to get the data into the new.

On the old site, do a database and file backup, deactivate all plugins except Connections and then update Connections. Let Connections do the db update. Now you’ll have access to the CSV Export tool which can be used to create a CSV file which you can import on the new site.

Try this… navigate to the WordPress Permalink settings admin page? There nothing do do other than just visiting the page. Does that fix it? Also, make sure the directory home page is set to the correct page. The setting is on the Connections : Settings admin page under the General tab.

If that does not correct it, are you using any code snippets or anything else that affects Connections?

Oh, I think I under stand… you want the “View All” link on your staff page… but you are “embedding” a single entry on other pages where you you do not want the “View All” link to be shown. Is that correct?

There now way to do that thru the settings, but there could be a work around you can use.

Copy the URL of the “View All” link. Navigate to the staff list page and edit it. Add a link above the shortcode using the view all link that you just copied. Now, disable the view all list action.

Now, that link you manually added to the staff page will show but it will not be present on any other page where you are embedding a single entry.

RE: I don’t know if this is “set” as the directory home page or not?

Navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and make sure the correct page is set as the directory home page.

RE: So the /recreations/ issue is showing for all businesses in the dashboard.

If the /recreations/` page is showing as the “View” links on the admin pages, then the it seems the incorrect page is set as the directory home page. I would expect /business-directory/.

On the Recreation page, add force_home=true to the existing shortcode so all the links reference the directory home page instead of the recreation page.

ps. I can take time for Google to update its index. Most of the time it is pretty quick but that dos depend on how often Google crawls the site and when their algorithm decides to remove “dead” links.
