My guess is that the database is out of date on both the dev and live server. It is the only scenario where I see this error occur. This only seems to happen when the plugin has been updated using a method which does not trigger it internal update routine. For example pushing the latest version of the plugins files from a dev to live without first making sure to update the database.

The only way to fix this would be to manually force the upgrade routine on both your dev and live instance. I can do this. It only takes me a couple minutes. I’ll need the WP admin logins for both sites. They can be posted here as a private reply.

I suppose the Enhanced Categories extension could be the solution, using its breadcrumb feature. Not sure that would be much more prominent than the category name in the drop down though. How many categories do you have which have descriptions? YOu could just put the name as a header in the description. Would that be a workable solution?

Ok, I understand…

You installed and activate the Contact extension. One of its primary functions is to suppress the display of email addresses in order to keep them private so use can use the contact form to send emails to the entry.

To display the emails, please deactivate the Contact extension.

Sorry, no Connections does not accept payments for listings. I do not plan on adding such features. I recommend you use a membership plugin like Restrict Content Pro to manage membership payments and renewals. This greatly increases your ability to monetize your site where a directory is just one benefit of the user’s membership. There are other directory plugins which do integrate payments, but then you lock yourself into only being able to monetize your directory making it very difficult to expand member benefits.

Sorry, but you can only install Connections once per site. That said, what you wish to do is possible and many users do exactly that. They accomplish by breaking the directory apart by category using the category shortcode option.

Sorry, but the email field is not searched when doing keyword searches. That would make the search results so varied as to be not useful.
